the first 100 days in SCM (Supply Chain Management) unit.
• To ensure talents assigned to SCM unit are allocated to production projects and focus on upskilling
during the first 100 days or as early as possible.

• To empower new hires, so that in case of a queries / doubts, they know exactly which system /
person / portal to reach out to for resolution / clarification.

2. SCM Induction and Initial Formalities to Complete

2.1 Human Resource Contact Details


Make sure to have contact details of human resource (HR), from whom you have received the offer
letter. HR will be your primary source of contact for all your queries during initial period.

2.2 Laptop / System


You should receive your laptop within one week of joining Infosys. If not, do communicate with the CCD
(Computers & Communication Division) person, based on your location.

2.3 Your Buddy – Helps Your Clarify Most of Your Queries


1. Once you join Infosys / Unit, you will receive a Welcome email from Infosys HR.
Sub: Welcome to Infosys / Unit
Dear <Employeee Name/>,
A warm welcome to the Infosys family. I am <HR Name/> and I will be your Business Partner HR in
<Unit Name/>.
• Touch base with your buddy on a regular basis, they will help you with any queries you may
have around the organization, location, unit, culture, values etc.
2. A buddy is an existing Infosys talent who partners with a newly joined Infosys talent during talent's
first few months of employment. Buddy is a colleague assigned to assist the new hire to get through
the all the queries during initial few weeks at Infosys.
3. Know details of your buddy from your respective HR.

4. Do block a 15 min recurring daily appointment with your buddy on a mutually acceptable time. Do
communicate with your buddy and get all your queries answered.
5. From your buddy and HR, get two details of your peers. Peers are individuals who share similar
characteristics with one another. On a daily basis, do communicate your learnings, queries,
clarifications, etc with your peers.

more.

Based on your Skills, Resume, Certifications, LinkedIn Profile, etc make sure to update your profile in
Compass.

• Once you are part of SCM unit, you will first be allocated to bench project code, then you will be
allocated to a training, pre-production, buffer and finally production project code.
• On a regular basis, your preparation, planning, prioritization, communication, networking should be
to move to a production project code as early as possible.

2.18 On Bench – Assessment and Fitment Evaluation


• While you are on bench, based on your education, qualification, trainings completed, certifications,
experiences, contributions, skills, etc your profile will be reviewed by different leads / managers.
• During your initial few weeks on bench you will be reviewed by many teams on a daily basis. Based
on your education, trainings, skills, experience, certification, etc you will be mapped to relevant
demand.
• Once you are mapped to a demand, you will receive an email.

• During the first 2 – 4 weeks of joining EAISSCM unit, you will receive notification email with subject:

2.20 Know the Basic Policies


Before you apply for leave / claim for broadband expenses, etc you first need to read, understand the
respective Infosys policy before you consider. Before you ask someone on a query, first thing to do is to
read the Infosys Policy. Below are few basic policies for you to familiarize and live by.

2.21 Bench – Requests to TPD


• While you are on bench, you need to submit your regular requests (Work from Home - WFH, Work
From Office - WFO, Leaves, Claims, etc to your Unit TPD Manager. If you are in SCM, i.e… PU =
EAISSCM, your TPD = ShantiSwaroop_G.
• Make sure to apply for requests on the same day or the next possible working day. As you delay it
will become challenging to both apply and then get it approved.
• If you have joined SCM unit as a lateral (and in bench during initial period) and your Job Band is JL6,
then based on your DU, do send all your requests to respective DU leads below.

2.22 Post Bench Requests to Project PM / Lead


Once you move to a training, pre-production, buffer, production project codes

• Make sure to apply all your requests (WFH, WFO, Claims, Leaves, etc) to your respective project PM
/ Lead.
• Since TPD would NOT be aware of your day to day tasks, avoid sending your requests to TPD.

2.23 Post Bench – Appraiser and Reviewer


• iCount (available in WebApps) is Infosys Performance Management System.
• Once you move to training / pre-production / production project codes, request your manager /
lead to provide you your

• In iCount, do update parameters as provided by your lead / manager.
• Do not put TPD anchor as appraiser or reviewer.

2.24 Daily Communication with your Peers


• During your initial few weeks in SCM unit, make sure to identify your peers and have a regular
communication with them.
• On a daily basis do communicate with at least two of your peers and share with them your
learning’s, queries, etc from previous day / week.
• This will help you build a good network of friends in SCM units, from whom you can learn and grow.

2.25 Mode of Communication


Make sure to know the role of a person before you communicate with a person. During your initial 2 – 4
weeks, do communicate only with below members to resolve most of your queries in the below
hierarchy.
