Activity Title: Re-enforcing the Role of Barangay Peace Action Teams (BPATs)
As First Responders and in Crime Preservation
Results: A total of 170 BPATs members from the 15 barangays of the Municipality of
Talayan were oriented/trained on their role and as first responders of the barangay
as well as in crime preservation. The activity were jointly conducted by the LGU and
PNP. PNP Chief Olis lectured on crime preservation. He emphasized the importance
of crime preservation in crime solution efficiency as it leads the investigation on its
right direction. The MILG field officer Leilali A. Limba lectured on the roles of
Barangay Action Team. The highlights of her lecture was on the importance of the
BPATs in maintaining peace and order in the respective AOR of the barangay as
augment and force multipliers to compensate the depleting members of the local
PNP. The training was concluded with the message of support from the punong
barangays and the municipal mayor.
