Format for preparing the Project Report

A. Guidelines for Students


1. The project report must be around 35-40 pages in length.
2. The project report shall be hard bound with cover page in black color. The name of the
candidate, degree (specifying the specialization), year of submission, name of the
University shall be screen printed with golden color. [Refer sample sheet (outer
cover)].
3. The project report shall be typed on one side only with 1.5 Line spacing with a margin 3.5
cm on the left, 2.5 cm on the top, and 1.25 cm on the right and at bottom.
4. In the project report, the title page [Refer sample sheet (inner title page)] should be given
first, then the Candidate’s Declaration, followed by an
abstract of the project report (not exceeding 1000 words). This should be followed by the
acknowledgment [Refer sample sheet (Acknowledgement)] , list of figures/list of tables
[Refer sample sheet (Table of Contents)], notations/nomenclature, and then contents with
page no.
5. Begin each Chapter on a new page.
6. The caption for Figure must be given at the BOTTOM of the Figure and Caption for the
Table must be given at the TOP of the Table. Figures, tables and equations should be
numbered chapter-wise including the chapter number. (eg. 1.1, 2.1, 2.2 ...).
7. There must be some text referring to every figure, table and equation included in the
report.
8. Conclusion must not exceed more than two pages.
9. References must follow IEEE format

C. Details of CD
CD of the project work is required to be pasted on the back cover of the project report in clear
packet, which should include the following folders and contents:
1. Presentation (should include a PPT about project in not less than 25 slides).
2. Documentation (should include a word file of the project report).
3. Source Code (full source code of the project with libraries used).
4. Program (final running copy of the project executable).
5. Support (any third party tools used or runtime environment setups that are required to run
project).
6. Help (user manual on how to run the project).
