Assignment - “Applying to Disney - Part I”


Hello! It's time for you to complete the Final Assignment. It consists of two parts: a
written product (part I) and an oral product (part II). This week, you will start with the
written product. Remember that if you need to review a topic, you can always go back
as many times as you need. Good luck!

1. Outcome
At the end of the course, students provide information about their routines, preferences
and personal information, and those of others, to function in the English language using
grammatical and lexical conventions corresponding to level A1.

2. Description
 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs).
 Step 2: Review the course’s study materials and your personal notes from
each session.
o Situation: Imagine that you and your partner want to apply for a
job at Disney. They are looking for an entertainment team. To
apply, each team must send an email (80 words) responding to
the prompt: “Tell us more about yourselves and your day-to-
day activities”. One of you writes the first paragraph giving your
and your partner´s personal information (40 words) and the
other one writes a second paragraph with information about your
and your partner´s routines and preferences (40 words).
o Content:
 Personal information
 Your daily routines
 Grammar and vocabulary from Units 1-4
 Use the 1st person singular/plural form.
 Food, music, and activities you prefer

 Step 3: Write the text together with your classmate.


 Step 4: Review the content, grammar, and the spelling of your text together.

 Step 5: Once you check your text, attach a cover to your writing and upload
it to the Canvas platform. Write your names and last names on the cover.
