Narrator: As he pull out his cell phone, Stanley gasped, when he saw that he had over 10 miss calls from
his grandfather. Looking at his screen , Stanley asked himself, why did my grandpa call me so many
times, he hasn't called me over 2 years. The last time we spoke he kicked me out of the family, I wonder
if he knows about the money. Stanley saw his grandpa's name flash on his screen, taking a deep breath,
Stanley read the message." Stanley I was wrong about you, your family needs you. I know all about your
recent success with Orion Corporation and we need that money in order to save the family line. If you
don't help us the Smith's family will collapse completely".
Stanley: This is a sick joke!
Narrator: Stanley looked at his phone as he received a new message from the same number. "Stanley
we've lost everything, after a few bad investment we're going bankrupt, please save us with your
money. If you do I promise that I will find a way to make it up to you, you will be a member of the Smith
family again. Don't you wanna be the man you used to be? Stanley replied.
" I'll meet you tomorrow and grandpa we have a lot to discuss"
Donald: Stanley it's time to get up! Marie is should be on her way to work now.
Stanley: I'll go check on her.
Donald: Great! And can you tell her that I need her car to run some errands so why don't you make your
self useful for once and drive your wife to work.
Stanley: but I don't have a car, I only have my old motorbike.
Donald: it'll have to do, what are you waiting for go get your wife!.
Stanley: of course! I'll go get her now.

Stanley: that's what is wanted to tell you, your mom is taking your car, so I'm going to drive you to the
office
Narrator: Marie opened the door and Stanley felt his mouth literally drop when he saw her standing in a
feminine take on a classic pinstrip business suit, Marie look absolutely stunning.
Stanley: you look beautiful!
Marie: thank you, but can we continue this conversation in the car, I'm in a hurry.
Stanley: of course! Let's go!

check his wife, Stanley saw his wife was bitting her bottom lips. Stanley ask
Stanley: are you ok? You seems nervous?
Marie: you could say that I'm a little stressed. I checked the report this morning and it confirmed my
worst nightmare the company isn't going to get any investor support which means that by the end of
the week we're going to officially declare bankruptcy. This morning the major shareholders are holding a
shareholders meeting, as the company's chairman I have to be there and to be honest I just feel so
terrible about all of the employees that are going to lose their jobs. It's all my fault!
Stanley: You weren't the one who made the mistake which caused this.
Marie: Yes, but I'm the chairman and as a boss it is my job to hold myself accountable for everything
that happens with the company. Ohh! And also the light turned green, would mind gunning it.
Stanley: Ohh yeah! Sorry.
Narrator: minutes later their arrived at the front of the company Marie working with.
Marie: I can't believe how fast you got me here.
Narrator: Just as Stanley going to respond he was interrupted by the sound of a car (sound of a car)

Marie: Hi Bryan.
Narrator: Ignoring Stanley presence, Bryan stepped forward and hugged Marie.
Bryan: Good morning Marie! It's so good to see you. Marie did you order the world's crappiest Uber or
what, if you needed a ride I could have driven you. That motorbike is pathetic, no offense.
Stanley: I'm not her Uber driver, I'm actually her husband. I'm Stanley it's nice to meet you.
Bryan: so this is the famous Stanley, I've heard so much about you. You know Marie's best friend, Jun.
He does the best impression of you. It's so nice to put a face to your umm name and Stan you are
exactly what I expected.
Marie: Bryan! That's out of line.
Bryan: I was just messing with him, you can take a joke can't you Stanley.
Stanley: I can when they're funny.
Bryan: touche, Marie! I'm so glad I bumped you this morning. I've heard about everything going on, in

Marie: Ohh! My goodness! This is the most beautiful necklace that I've ever seen.
Bryan: I knew you would like it!.

have to handle Bryan, he's up to no good.
Bryan: A beautiful woman deserves a beautiful necklace, ain't that right Stanley?
Stanley: the dream lover necklace.
Bryan: what was that?
Stanley: that's impossible, there's no way that, that's real the dream lover necklace was made by the
famous french jewelry designer Diane it was made up of 180 crystals and three karot diamond.
There's only 10 versions of the necklace in the world, that has to be a knockoff.
Bryan: it's not a knockoff, it's a top-of-the-line copy of one, Marie I remember how much you love this
necklace. But since it's impossible to buy a real one, I spend a ₱100,000 to have have a jewelry create a
copy for you. And If you give me some more time I will one day find the real one.
Marie: it's normal if you can't buy it, after all there are only 10 in world. And the dream lover necklace
cost ₱2.8 million, so you don't have to worry about finding the real one. Plus this is a really good copy , I
love it, thank you.
Bryan: whaatt! ₱2.8 million! I mean, it seems this dream lover is very popular.
Stanley: Here Marie, why don't you let me bring the necklace home for you, after all I'm your husband.
Marie: Thank you Stanley, that would be really helpful.
Narrator: as Marie giving the box to Stanley, Stanley accidentally drop the box onto the ground. With
the fake shocked look on his face, Bryan gasped.
Bryan: Stanley! How could you, you throw it on the ground on purpose, that necklace is for Marie why
did you do that to her.
Marie: I'm sure it was an accident. Wasn't it Stanley?
Stanley: I'm sorry that it happen, Marie you deserve a real one, not some cheap knockoff necklace from

Narrator: As Marie went to the elevator (elevator sound), Stanley picked up the necklace and tossed it
to Bryan.
Stanley: here you go jackass! Make sure you stay away from my wife and I'm the one who's supposed to
give her a gift not you.
Narrator: After the scene with Bryan, Stanley went home and called the number of his grandpa.(sounds
of phone dialing) (sounds of phone ringing)
Grandpa: I knew you would call.
Stanley: hello grandpa, let's not waste any time with fake formalities. I'm calling to let you know that I
can help solve the crisis of Smith's family with my money, but in exchange for that I have two condition.

know how judgmental my family can be.
Stanley: of course! Anything for you.
Marie: Thank you.
Narrator: And Marie then hang up the phon (sound of a phone hang up)
Scene 3
Narrator: taking off his helmet, Stanley look straight ahead at the luxury neighborhood, in front of him,
with Marie don't know was that Stanley had just arrived at the golden domain also known as the most
luxurious neighborhood in Davao. Minutes later, Stanley was sitting on a couch grand, He saw his
grandfather foyer standing on the opposite side of the room, Stanley's uncle Thomas.
Thomas: your grandfather can't be here, so he sent me in this place. It's good to see you nephew, you
look different than you did last time we spoke. Anything I would say that, you look like you've been
enjoying your freedom, this sabbatical has done wonders for you.
Stanley: are we calling me being kick out of the family a sabbatical now?
Thomas: Stanley I never want you to know that I never meant for that to happen it was just an
unfortunate.
Narrator: Stanley interrupted.
Stanley: I'm not here to argue about the past, so let's just get straight to the point. How much money
does the Smith family needs?
Thomas: 8 billion.
Stanley: 8 billion! That's a lot of money! You kick me out of the family for investing a lot less than that.
Thomas: we'll we think wrong, it turns out that your bad investment is the only thing that can save our
family Dynasty. So what can you say? Can we borrow 8 billion of your money?
Stanley: Uncle, I suddenly remember that I have something very important to do, don't worry I'll see
myself out.
Thomas: if you don't give us the 8 billion the Smith family legacy will be destroyed. Stanley! Please I'm
begging, your the only one who can save our family empire. I already ask my two men to complete the
two requests that you mentioned. Please you can't leave now, I'll do anything.
Stanley: it's not that I what to help the Smith family get through this crisis, but if I'm being honest, I
don't think I have ₱8 billion to give you.
Thomas: Stanley are seriously going to play dump, have you not check the value of you stocks. Your
grandfather and I know that the 20% of the shares you interested in the Orion group is about ₱9.3
billion now, and the value is going up as we speak. Stanley you must have conscious, you can't forget
that you are also part of the Smith family.
Stanley: what! I have over ₱9 million, just this morning I had less than ₱500 in my savings this is a dream
come true. From the 2 years you kick me out of from the family, why should I care about it now? I have a
wife now, did you know that I had gotten engaged the day that you decided to exile me. I'm a son-in-law
to another family, why should I show loyalty to you over them? If it wasn't for the fact that you were all
going bankrupt, I don't think you would have ever reached out to me again.
Thomas: Stanley I know what we did was wrong, I apologize to you on behalf of the family, we messed
up, but I'm begging you, your family needs you, the Smith dynasty will fall without your help. Stanley, if
you are willing to help the Smith family, I can let you become the president of the Smiths Media. All that
it would take is one day for me to finalize the formalities, tomorrow you would be able to take over the
position. You will have your own company.
Stanley: isn't Smiths media your wife's company? Your always ready to give away other people's things
to benefit yourself, aren't you?
Thomas: she would gladly offer it to you to save the family. Smiths media is one of our most profitable
and high profile companies, it's the largest and most successful entertainment company in Mindanao.
Stanley: I accept your offer, Smiths media will be my first acquisition in my journey to create my own
family empire, but I wasn't lying before, I do have to go, I've got somewhere very important to be.
Thomas: so, do we have a deal?
Stanley: yes, we have a deal
Thomas : thank you.

your family have any genetics history or issues with fertility?
Stanley: umm no! My parents are very healthy.
Donald: really? It's weird that I don't know that much about your parents. Maybe we should assign a

are any bad gens on your side.
Stanley: there's no need, I have always been in a good health, I don't wanna waste any money.

Narrator: On the other side, two other girls sat down next to Stanley, whispering about "did you that
Britney was going to sign with the Smiths media nest week". The other girl replied "no way! Smiths
media is the biggest media company in Mindanao. If Britney signs with them, then she'll be famous
before we know it". Stanley thought to himself.
Stanley: Is it really true? That Britney was going to sign in the Smiths media, then I should get to know
her a little better. This is a good chance to familiarize myself with my clients.
Narrator: Stanley felt a little excited at the idea of running Smiths media and talking to Britney, who
would be his newest client. But just as his butt about to touch the chair, Britney looked at him
differently.
Britney: sorry I'm saving this seat for Jessica.
Stanley: huh? I thought Jessica was sitting over there.
Narrator: Stanley pointing to a luxurious woman sitting 7 or 8 seats away from them. And suddenly
Britney raised her arms and cover her noise and said.
Britney: you seem have a strange smell, I feel uncomfortable, so can I trouble you to change seats.
Narrator: Stanley was stunned, he raised his arm and sniff, it didn't smell. He had just changed into clean
clothes before he went out, this woman must have a problem with her noise.
Tucker: Stanley! You haven't taken a shower for a few days, have you?
Random girl: Come on now, I'll change seats with you Stanley.
Narrator: Stanley wanted to argue, but his old friend Zach walked over and urges Stanley to get up, they
found a corner and sat down together.
Zach: look Stanley, Britney is not a woman we can get close to, you are asking for trouble, come on we
haven't seen each other for a long time. Let's have a drink.
Stanley: yeah, you're right. Here let's have toast. (Sound of cup cheers)
Narrator: after a long night, people got together and arranged to meet again in the future. As Stanley

calling him.
Stanley: yes Marie?
Marie: Did you buy the clothes I asked you to get for the family get together? After you take care of that
we'll meet at home.(sound of phone hang up)

Zach: sure thing dude, let's see each other again later.

Man: This is a gift for you, from our boss.
Narrator: at this time, two of Marie assistant walk closely and look at the man with a suit holding a box

and let out a stunning scream.
Woman: ohh my God! This, this is the dream lover necklace. Ohh my god! There are only 10 in the
world. Madam chairman your admirer is so generous.
Narrator: Marie could tell from a glance that this is an authentic dream lover, because she has a strong
interested with the dream lover necklace. The one she's holding in her hand was definitely genuine, and
felt it was real. Was she dreaming? Who exactly give it to her? Could it be Bryan Bruce? But even to
Bryan Bruce the dream lover necklace was still out of reach, could it be that he really like her so much
and spend all his savings just to buy a dream lover for her?
On the other side, Stanley is trying to figure out, what to wear for tonight's gathering. He went to the
mall and look around, most of the suit wouldn't his style, he felt none of the suit fit him very well. So he
took out his phone and call his secretary that uncle Thomas had arranged for him, she was very efficient.

or ₱3,000 quality stuff right?
Narrator: hearing this many people look at Stanley and snored and some even laugh out loud (sound of
laugh).
Stanley: I'm really disappointed with that, actually I didn't pay for my clothes.
Jason: Hahaha! You didn't pay for it? Could it be the owner of the store saw that you are pathetic, and
gave you a new suit?
Narrator: they started to laugh (sounds of laughter) at Stanley, they were looking at Stanley like he was
a fool.
Marie: we should go sit down.
Jason: Marie, I'm really not talking about you, it's fine if your husband lacks of experience and exigency,
aren't you willing to spend a little money on your self, the dress your wearing must cost you about
₱10,000 didn't you? It shameful that you have to wear it for our family get together. In order to attend
this gathering, I went to the most famous designer of the country and spend ₱50,000 and this suit made
especially for me
Random person: wow! ₱50,000
Narrator: almost of the room was shocked. Feeling the envy gaze people around him, Jason was
extremely proud of himself.
Scene 7
Narrator: Now that Stanley had put Jason in his place, he looked around and then looked directly at him.
Stanley: Didn't you see the dream lover on Marie's neck? It's worth a hundred of your fancy suits. (said
proudly)
Narrator: All eyes turned to Marie, specifically her neck, after Stanley's rebuke. The audience fell silent,
only the soft piano music lingering. Questions and comments erupted from the crowd.
SFX – (people murmuring)
Bystander 1: am I seeing things? (whispered)
Bystander 2: Is she actually wearing a dream lover? (whispered)
BYSTANDER 3: heavens, that's really a dream lover. (whispered)
NARRATOR: Only 10 exist worldwide, a woman's dream come true. Excitement filled the room as even
men were astonished. The dream lover necklace captivated everyone, making Marie the center of
attention. Envious eyes turned her way, boosting her confidence. Marie noticed a change in Stanley
beside her, while Jason couldn't help but lie as he stared at the necklace on Marie's neck.
JASON: I think you're just trying to trick everyone. That's no dream lover. Where did your family get
enough money to buy such a rare piece of jewelry? I think you're just wearing a fake. ( said mockingly)
STANLEY: It's none of your business how much money we have. We don't answer to you. (said casually)
NARRATOR: Donald called Stanley, warning him with a look before stepping in front of Jason with a
smile.
DONALD: Jason, Stanley is younger than you, so he doesn't know how to bite his tongue. Why are you
arguing with him anyway? And where are your parents? Why didn't I see them come today? (said
curiously)
NARRATOR: Donald aimed to shift the conversation diplomatically, but Jason struggled to contain his
burning anger from Stanley's provocation.
JASON: My parents are overseas on company business. They aren't lazy like you. You don't have
anything to do all day long, do you? You have your little son-in-law to wait on you hand and foot, and
you don't even need to babysit him. (said angrily)
NARRATOR: Jason's words embarrassed Donald deeply until a mature voice interrupted them.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: What in heaven's name is everyone doing here? (said loudly)
JASON: Grandpa! (said excitedly)
NARRATOR: Jason beamed as he noticed someone assisting Grandpa Williams. Rushing over, he found
warmth in his smile until his expression soured upon seeing Stanley with Marie. Despite Grandpa
Williams disapproval, Stanley remained unfazed.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: All right, since everyone is almost here, we can all take a seat. (said lo
NARRATOR: Grandpa Williams rallied the family to work hard, then led Jason to the main table. After a
brief pep talk, the banquet started. Stanley, hungry and undeterred by judgment, eagerly enjoyed the
meal, asserting his right to do so. Grandpa Williams later resumed speaking at the main table.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: I heard from a reliable source that the CEO of Smiths Media has changed. I was
told that he is a young man about the same age as Jayjay. The new CEO will be officially appointed
tomorrow. (said formally)
NARRATOR: After the CEO change at Smiths Media, the Williams family seized the chance for a
partnership to elevate their status. Despite past rejections, they dispatched numerous representatives.
The change in leadership brought hope, and news of the opportunity reached Stanley during his meal.
Grandpa Williams, well-informed, observed the reactions with a big smile.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: Does anyone have an idea of how to pay a visit to the new Williams Media CEO? If
anyone can form a partnership between our families, I will reward them well. (said loudly)
BYSTANDER 1: I'm willing to go (shouted)
BYSTANDER 2: Grandma, I want to go. (shouted)
BYSTANDER 3: Let me go. I'm the best one here at teamwork. (shouted)
NARRATOR: Marie yearned to contribute to the discussion but hesitated due to her low rank in the
Williams family. She observed as family members expressed their opinions. Grandpa Williams approved,
then turned his attention to Jason, eagerly patting his hands.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: Jayjay, I will leave this matter up to you. Don't let me down. (said in reassuring
tone)
JASON: Don't worry, grandma. I'll definitely get them to make a deal. (said confidently)
NARRATOR: Jason confidently faced Grandpa Williams, oblivious to his unintentional offense toward the
new head of Smith Media. Stanley found amusement in Jason's attempt to discuss cooperation despite
the blunder. Later, when Stanley took Marie and Donald home, Marie was captivated by Grandpa
Williams' proposal for a partnership with Smith Media, paying little attention to Stanley's words.
MARIE: What will I do? (said in a worried voice)
NARRATOR: Marie, on her way home, contemplates dreams of forming an alliance with Smiths Media to
rescue her struggling company, Siren Corporation. She contemplates seeking aid from Bryan, uncertain
of his capabilities after his generous gift. Stanley observes her distress but remains silent. Later, as
Stanley prepares for bed, he notices Marie still troubled while getting into her own bed.
STANLEY: Marie, don't worry. Jason definitely won't be able to talk with Smith Media tomorrow about
making any deal. Aside from you, no one else can succeed. (said thoughtfully)
NARRATOR: Unfazed by Marie's response, Stanley expressed his views and then slept. The next day,
prompted by a call from Uncle Thomas, he rode his electric scooter to Smith Media, a prestigious office
in downtown Davao. In the parking lot filled with electric cars owned by William Media executives, a red
Ferrari collided with Stanley's scooter, leaving it damaged. Disheartened, Stanley discovered a slender
leg emerging from the Ferrari's door.
BRITTANY: Why don't you watch where you're going? (said angrily)
NARRATOR: The driver said the woman's tone was harsh when she was completely out of the car, the
bystanders suddenly gasped.
BYSTANDER: She's so beautiful. Who is this big star? (said in curiosity)
NARRATOR: The stunning Brittany, dressed in a form-fitting blue skirt and high heels, caught Stanley's
attention. Surprised to see her, he wondered if she was here to sign with Smiths Media. Despite his
electric scooter being damaged, Stanley was unharmed. Brittany, recognizing him, frowned.
BRITTANY: what are you doing here? (said nonchalantly)
NARRATOR: She glanced at him, then at the electric scooter on the ground, recalling the recent mention
of Williams Media's security guard suffering a sudden heart attack two nights ago.
BRITTANY: So the company hired a young man as a security guard. Could it be? Kevin? Why don't you
watch what you're doing? Look at all the damage to my car. I'm sure you can't afford to fix it. (said
annoyingly)
STANLEY: It was clearly you who hit me. Why are you blaming me instead? (said casually)
VICTOR: What happened here? (said curiously)
NARRATOR: The onlooker stepped aside as Stanley noticed a man in a blue suit approaching with two
security guards. Victor Martin, stunned by Brittany's beauty, stepped forward with a smile.
VICTOR: You’re Brittany Davis, aren't you a few days ago? I heard that you be coming in to sign your
contract. I didn't expect you to be here yet. (said excitedly)
NARRATOR: Brittany gave him a faint smile. Now, she looked gentle and polite, completely different
from a minute ago when she was chastising
BRITTANY: Kevin. I'm sorry. This happened as I was coming in. What can you do about it? (said not so
sincerely)
NARRATOR: On hearing this? Mister Martin instantly felt more self assured and cocky. He had to help
Brittany right away.
VICTOR: Don't worry. This is just a small matter. (said in reassuring tone)
VICTOR: Do you know where you are? Who said you could ride an electric bike here? (said in
seriousness)
STANLEY: Who says I can't ride an electric bike in here? Besides, she's the one who hit me. Can't you
figure that out? (said annoyingly)
VICTOR: If I say you can't ride here, then you can't ride here. Why would someone in a Ferrari hit
someone on a scooter? (said mockingly)
BRITTANY: Mister Martin is he the new guard, you just hired? I'm afraid he'll annoy a lot of people. (said
in not so sincerely)
NARRATOR: Upon hearing Brittany's words, Victor recalled the sudden departure of the old guard
yesterday. In that moment, he observed Stanley in casual attire, standing beside an electric scooter,
confirming his suspicion that Stanley was the new security guard.
VICTOR: I definitely won't allow someone like this to continue working here. Don't worry, ma'am. I'll fire
him right now. (said in reassuring voice)
VICTOR: You with the baggy clothes you're fired. Please back up your things and leave. (said in
seriousness)
STANLEY: You wanna fire me, assistant Victor Martin, right? I would like to ask you a simple question
who gave you the right to fire someone all by yourself. (said confidently)
NARRATOR: Stanley smiled at the man, indifferent to onlookers. His question made Mr. Martin's face
harden; as a mere production assistant, he lacked the authority to fire anyone. Angrily glaring at Stanley,
he was about to curse when Brittany interrupted.
BRITTANY: You said Mr. Martin isn't qualified to fire you, right? Then the department manager should
be qualified. You just wait. (said confidently)
SFX - (texting)
NARRATOR: Brittany glared at Stanley, then swiftly texted two messages on her phone. Within 5
minutes, a woman in a gray suit approached with a cold expression.
SFX – (intense atmosphere)
Scene 8
NARRATOR: Kevin waited by the scooter, observing. Angry about her dented Ferrari, Brittany sought
help from Smiths Media through her contacts. Claire Davis, a mature and charming woman of about 40,
arrived in professional attire. She was not only the manager of Smiths Media's Publicity Department but
also Brittany's aunt.
BRITTANY: Auntie! (called out like a spoiled child)
NARRATOR: She then walked to her aunt's side and held her arm as she whispered a few words into her
ear. When Victor Martin, the other Smiths Media employees, and the two security guards saw Claire,
they immediately greeted her with smiling faces.
SECURITY GUARD: Ms. Davis, good morning (said excitedly)
CLAIRE: Good Morning (said politely)
CLAIRE: Did you hit her car? Apologize to her right now, or we will call the police and ask them to handle
this matter (said threateningly)
STANLEY: (let out a laugh) I don’t know you. Why should I listen to you? If you want to call the police, go
ahead. Anyway, I didn't crash into her. She crashed into me. So what am I afraid of? (said confidently)
BYSTANDER 1: (whispering) He doesn't even know the publicity manager. He really should be fired (said
mockingly)
BYSTANDER 2: (whispering) Just wait. Ms. Davis will definitely fire him (said mockingly)
NARRATOR: Seeing Stanley’s nonchalant look, Claire's expression became even colder. She raised her
hand, pointed right at Kevin.
CLAIRE: You're the new security guard, aren't you? I'll tell you right now you've been fired. Get out of
here or I'll call the police and they'll take you down to the police station (said angrily)
STANLEY: Send me to the police station? (said mockingly)
BRITTANY: (sneered) Don't you understand English? Just my luck to see you today. I'll bet you can't even
afford to fix my car. I won't argue with you anymore. Just hurry up and get out of here. (said annoyingly)
NARRATOR: Just when Claire was about to skull him some more. A brand new Lamborghini pulled up
and stopped in front of everyone.
SFX – (sound of a car horn)
NARRATOR: They saw a handsome young man in a wine red professional suit. He adjusted his gold rim
glasses and stepped out of the car. He went straight to Stanley, shook his hand, and greeted him with a
warm smile.
MR. WILSON: Sorry, sir. I went to get the company's new quarterly reports for you, but I lost track of the
time. I hope you can forgive me (said apologetically)
NARRATOR: At a glance, Stanley already knew that this was Mr. Wilson, the chief of staff that his uncle
had told him about. Mr. Wilson straightened his back and looked at the young man in front of him
nervously.
MR. WILSON: I'm sorry, sir, but I didn't expect the expressway to be so backed up. This isn't how I
wanted to greet our new CEO. It won't happen again (said nervously)
SFX – (tense atmosphere, people murmuring)
CLAIRE: Wa-what was going on? Ceo? (said confusing)
NARRATOR: Claire definitely knew who Mr. Wilson was. When she saw him showing so much respect
towards Stanley, she was enraged. Claire grabbed Mr. Wilson's arm.
CLAIRE: Mr. Wilson, you're making a huge mistake. This is the new company's security guard. What's
wrong with you? (said angrily)
NARRATOR: Mr. Wilson frowned and pulled his arm away. He took his phone and a stack of documents
out of his envelope.
MR. WILSON: I assure you that I'm not mistaken. These are the documents that our Chief Operating
Officer, Mr. Tommy Smith, personally gave me regarding our new CEO. This photo looks quite a lot like
this gentleman, doesn't it? (in a calm voice)
NARRATOR: Brittany, who was standing to the side, rushed over and looked at the photo on Mr.
Wilson's phone. It sure looked a lot like Stanley, but the man in the photo had a much more professional
appearance. He also looked a lot younger and more handsome.
BRITTANY: Mr. Wilson, you must be wrong. This is Stanley Smith, my former classmate. Look at his
sloppy appearance. How could he possibly be the CEO of Smiths Media? Maybe he just looks a lot like
him (said harshly)
NARRATOR: Brittany pointed at Stanley's clothes with a look of utter disdain. They were all confused.
How could the new CEO show up to the office wearing a T-shirt in baggy shorts, riding a tiny broken
electric scooter? Mr. Wilson pushed up her glasses and her expression remained very calm.
MR. WILSON: That sounds right. The information our CEO gave me says that the new President's name
is Stanley, and this photo was actually taken three years ago, so of course, he looks a little older now.
NARRATOR: Mr. Wilson revealed the documents with Stanley's name, shocking Brittany and Claire.
Realizing the scruffy man before them was the new CEO, Claire, the company's publicity manager, felt a
sinking realization after her public outburst. Under Stanley's scornful gaze, she struggled to compose
herself, forcing a strained smile forward.
CLAIRE: Sir, I'm really sorry. We've made a huge mistake. Nothing like this will never happen again in the
future (said nervously)
STANLEY: There will be a future? (said in a calm voice)
CLAIRE: N-no, Sir please don't do this. I know what I did was wrong. Sir, please give me another chance
(said scaredly)
NARRATOR: Ignoring the puzzled looks from everyone around her, what Claire cared about the most
right now was to protect her job and her position. Brittany, who was standing off to the side, also
hurried to stand near Stanley. Her expression no longer looks so of arrogant.
BRITTANY: Mr. Smith, it's all my fault. Don't be angry. Please accept my apologies (said apologetically)
NARRATOR: Stanley looked at her with an enigmatic smile. He didn't say a word. Finally, she couldn't
bear to look him in the eyes. Stanley glanced at the time on his watch. He had no intention of continuing
to waste time at the door. After thinking for a while, he looked at Mr. Wilson and pointed toward Victor
Martin, who was trying desperately not to be noticed.
STANLEY: This man tried to fire me to protect the image of Smith Media.
NARRATOR: After these words, only tearful Victor Martin remained. Stanley, ousted from the affluent
William family, enters the lavish Smith Media hall, becoming the new CEO of Smiths Media. Despite his
unassuming demeanor, the staff warmly embraces him, a stark contrast to his expulsion. Intent on
restoring the company's honor, Stanley heads to the 18th floor, where he sits in his office on the big
leather chair.
STANLEY: Do you have anything else to talk to me about? (said nonchalantly)
NARRATOR: He flipped open some of the folders on his enormous desk and asked casually as he looked
at the contents of the folders. Brittany and Claire looked at each other and Claire gave her niece a slight
smile to comfort her. She took two steps forward.
CLAIRE: Sir, about what happened today, I'm really very sorry. Now about the matter of Brittany signing
her contract (said nervously)
NARRATOR: Claire paused before finishing her sentence. Stanley didn't even raise his head as he
chuckled to himself.
STANLEY: Sign the contract? (said in a calm voice)
BRITTANY: Mr. Smith, did you forget that I came here today to sign my contract? (said nervously)
NARRATOR: Stanley put down the folder that he'd been reviewing and leaned back in his very
comfortable leather chair. This chair is really nice, Stanley thought to himself. He smiled at the two of
them, but didn't answer them right away. Seeing Stanley's reaction, Claire wasn't sure what to think.
CLAIRE: Sir, how about this? I can accept any punishment you give me, but please don't cancel Brittany's
contract, okay? (said desperately)
STANLEY: (laugh) It's funny, but someone who didn't know me well might think I'm a bully (said
ridiculously)
SFX – (knock on the door)
NARRATOR: Mr. Wilson walked over to the door and whispered a few words to someone outside. Then
he closed the door and came to Stanley's side.
MR. WILSON: Sir, Jason William, the William family representative, is here. He said he wants to discuss
the company's financial future with you.
STANLEY: (sigh) Get that fool out of my office immediately and please inform the William family that if
they want to cooperate with us, they shouldn't let that bonehead show his face around here. They can
try again with a new representative. As long as I approve of the new rep, I'll have no problem
negotiating with them (said frustrated)
NARRATOR: Outside Stanley's office, Jason fantasized about the sports car from Grandpa Williams for
sealing the deal. Mr. Wilson's shocking message left him stunned in Smiths Media territory. Cursing, he
drew attention in the hall, quickly realizing his error. Suppressing anger, he left the building. At the
Williams family mansion, Grandpa Williams called for an emergency meeting in response to the news.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: (sigh) Jayjay went to discuss the deal with Williams Media, but he didn't succeed.
I think some of you already know about it (said disappointedly)
JASON: Grandpa, Smiths Media obviously thinks they're better than us. They actually called me a fool.
On top of that, they told me to get out and never show my face again (said angrily)
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: I'm sorry you have to suffer for this, Jayjay (said in a sad tone)
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: The new CEO of Smiths Media is a young man in his early 20s. That's a very young
age for someone to take the helm of such a powerful corporation. Naturally, he has his pride, and it's
normal that he doesn't like small families like ours
SFX – (people murmuring)
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: But the CEO of Smith Media also said that as long as the candidate is satisfactory,
he won't have any problem working with them. So I want to ask everyone. Who do you think is most
suitable to represent us in these negotiations?
NARRATOR: The people in the room stopped talking and looked at each other. It was unusually quiet.
Smith Media had already told Jason Williams to get lost. After that, who would have the nerve to go
back in there?
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: What? No one is willing to go? (said disappointedly)
NARRATOR: While everyone else remained silent, Jason suddenly had what he thought was a
particularly nasty idea.
JASON: Grandpa, I think Marie is the ideal choice to talk with Smith Media about our offer (said loudly)
NARRATOR: Jason's words suddenly made Marie the center of attention. She threw an angry look at
Jason, who was standing beside grandpa, smiling maliciously. While she knew that Jason always liked to
cause trouble, she didn't expect him to be so shameless as to involve her in this mess.
MARIE: But, but Grandpa, I... (said sadly)
NARRATOR: Marie was angry, but at the same time she was trying to figure out how to get out of this
horrible predicament. She was about to finish her thought when Jason interrupted her again.
JASON: Marie, grandpa just wants to give you a chance to help the family. Don't you care about our
family? (said mockingly)
JASON: I know that your Siren Corporation just lost millions. You still seem to be short four or five
million in capital, right? I'm doing this for your own good. If you're willing to help all of us, the Williams
family, and if the deal is successful, grandpa won't let your company go bankrupt (said mockingly)
NARRATOR: What choice did Marie have?
SFX – (tension atmosphere)
Scene 9
NARRATOR: Marie was still in shock after being nominated by Jason to represent the Williams family in
their negotiations with Smith Media. She was at a loss for words. After Jason finished speaking, he
walked over and stood in front of Grandpa Williams.
JASON: I think Marie is really suitable. What do you think, Grandpa? (said mockingly)
NARRATOR: In Grandpa William's heart, Jason was the one that he liked the most, so he naturally took
his suggestion more seriously than the others. He reflected for a while and nodded in agreement. Then
he looked at Marie and smiled.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: Marie, you will go to Smiths Media tomorrow. Do your best and above all, don't
let me down. (said with authority)
MARIE: Grandpa, I... (said in hesitant)
GRANDPA: Okay, today's meeting is adjourned. Do whatever you need to handle this. Don't accept no
for an answer. Your family needs you.
NARRATOR: Marie's feelings were ignored in the meeting, and she bit her lip as everyone left, especially
upset seeing Jason's happy exit. Frustrated, she left the Williams mansion, unsure of her next move.
Back home, the idea of approaching the new CEO for collaboration with her family felt increasingly
uncomfortable and impossible for Marie. The more she pondered, the more irritated she became.
NARRATOR: Marie, feeling uneasy, called Junjun for company and advice. Once Junjun arrived, they
chatted, and Marie felt more at ease. Junjun then grabbed a soda from the fridge and casually asked
Marie.
JUNJUN: Marie, since he asked you to try, you should try. He asked for it. I'm still waiting to hear him call
me boss. (said impatiently)
NARRATOR: Junjun crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked at Stanley with a sneer. Marie
tightened her grip on the bank card and looked at Stanley, who was waiting expectantly
MARIE: Stanley, you really want me to check it out? (said worriedly)
STANLEY: Don't worry. I would never lie to you (said determinedly)
MARIE: Right, okay (said determinedly)
NARRATOR: Then she got up and walked to the study and turned on the card reader.
STANLEY: The password is your birthday (said in low voice)
NARRATOR: Marie entered the password, and the screen displayed a balance of four million dollars.
Junjun, seeing the long string of numbers, was left speechless.
JUNJUN: How is this possible? (said in surprise)
NARRATOR: As soon as Donald Williams entered the house, he saw that something was up. He frowned
and walked over to Marie, Stanley, and Junjun in the study.
DONALD: What's going on? (said curiously)
NARRATOR: When his gaze fell on the ridiculously high number on the card reader, he was absolutely
stunned.
DONALD: Where did you get so much money from? (said in surprise)
MARIE: Stanley gave me the card (said casually)
DONALD: What? Stanley gave it to you? (said in disbelief) Where did you get so much money? (said in
curiosity)
STANLEY: I can't tell you, so please don't ask. But I can assure you that this money came from an on the
source. Marie, just use it and don't worry (said in determination) Junjun, I believe you said you wanted
to start calling me boss. You can start. I'm waiting. (said mockingly)
NARRATOR: Wide-eyed, Junjun stared at Stanley in disbelief, flustered. He raised a scolding finger,
tempted to berate him. Before he acted rashly, Marie swiftly took the card from the reader and ushered
Stanley into the bedroom.
MARIE: We are the only ones in this room now. Stanley, tell me the truth. Where did you get this money
from? (said softly)
NARRATOR: She locked the door behind her, approached Stanley cautiously. He glanced at her with
guarded eyes, secretly pleased. Wasn't Marie concerned about him? After a moment, he smiled.
STANLEY: If I told you I'm actually an incredibly wealthy business executive and that this money is a drop
in the bucket for me, would you believe me? (said in convincing tone)
MARIE: Don't joke around. Forget it. If you really don't want to tell me, I don't want to keep asking you.
Anyway, you have to promise me that this isn't dirty money. I hope that you're not involved in anything
illegal. Otherwise, I would rather see my company go bankrupt than to take a dime from you. (said in
seriousness)
STANLEY: Don't worry. I guarantee that the money is legal. You just need to use it quickly to save your
company.
NARRATOR: Marie had her doubts, but he was so convincing. She thought for a long moment before
putting the card away.
MARIE: Okay, I believe you. You can rest assured too. I will definitely pay you back as soon as possible. It
may take some time, but I'll repay you. My money is your money (said in reassuring tone)
NARRATOR: Stanley left the room, surprised to find Junjun missing. Speculating that Junjun fled to avoid
addressing him as boss, Stanley pondered. Later, Donald, curious about Stanley's newfound wealth, was
comforted by Marie privately, softening his attitude. Amid Davao's financial turmoil, Smiths Media, a
notable company, appointed a young CEO. Despite industry interest, they chose to partner with only
wealthy Davao families or major corporations, rejecting numerous offers. Contrary to expectations,
Smiths Media surprised everyone by partnering with the lesser-known Williams family, specifically
Marie, an obscure member. Despite sealing the deal, many were unaware of Marie's existence, even in
high society. The puzzle deepened as to why the CEO picked the seemingly insignificant Williams family
over more influential options. Marie, too, was baffled, unable to comprehend how she secured the deal
without meeting the CEO, making the process feel surreal. The Williams family celebrated Marie's
success at a lavish hotel in Davao, with Grandpa Williams announcing their partnership. Marie, the key
guest, symbolized her crucial role in the family's triumph in an elegant dress. As Stanley took his seat, he
received a cold rebuke from someone nearby.
JASON: Please find another seat. This one is reserved for Ms. Phoebe Anderson. (said coldly)
NARRATOR: Of course, it was Jason speaking, and behind him stood a stunning young lady in a snug silk
dress. Stanley glanced, looked away, then looked again, sensing familiarity. Jason noticed Stanley's fixed
gaze on Matilda, prompting him to step forward and deliberately bump into him.
JASON: Didn't you hear me? This seat is reserved for Ms. Anderson. (said angrily)
STANLEY: Ms. Anderson? (said with questioning tone.)
JASON: You don't even know who Phoebe Anderson is? (said angrily)
NARRATOR: Many noticed the situation. Marie nearby looked embarrassed, annoyed with Jason. She
saw Matilda at another table, realizing Jason deliberately moved her to settle a score for her success at
Smiths Media. He bullied Stanley just to embarrass her. Stanley, seeing Marie's pained expression,
stayed in his seat.
STANLEY: What's wrong, Marie? Are you feeling okay? (said in a concerned tone)
NARRATOR: Marie shook her head. She considered letting Stanley give up his seat to Matilda to avoid
conflict, especially since Grandpa Williams favored Jason. Donald, silently urging Stanley to act,
emphasized Matilda's status as an honored guest from the prestigious Anderson family, known for their
global success in the jewelry market. How could this squabble be resolved without insulting such an
honored guest in her family and without upsetting Grandpa Williams?
SFX – (intense atmosphere)
Scene 10
NARRATOR: Marie fretted over the argument with Jason about Matilda's banquet seat, fearing family
trouble. As the eldest Anderson daughter, Matilda's influence, especially on Grandpa William, concerned
Marie. Stanley, however, oblivious to Donald's disapproval, prioritized Marie. Ignoring the tension, Jason
eventually exploded.
JASON: Don't you understand English? I've already told you 10 times to give up your seat. What's wrong
with you? Just move so Ms. Anderson can have a seat.
NARRATOR: Matilda scowled and looked impatiently at Jason. Then her cool gaze fell on Stanley. Seeing
Grandpa Williams also look over at them, Marie was worried about the impression that all this would
make on the family matriarch. This would definitely tarnish Marie's image. She turned her head to look
at Stanley, who was completely ignoring Jason and asked him quietly.
MARIE: Stanley, why don't you change seats? (said softly)
STANLEY: All right, Wife, as you wish. (said in a soft voice)
NARRATOR: He stood up, moved to a different seat without acknowledging Jason and Matilda
Anderson. Despite Jason's anger, he restrained himself to maintain a composed image for Matilda.
Matilda, having desired the dream lover necklace for a long time, couldn't believe she was seeing it on
Marie. Marie, feeling uneasy under Matilda's intense gaze, was self-conscious about wearing the
genuine dream lover necklace that Matilda had longed for.
MARIE: Ms. Anderson, I can't help but notice that you're staring at me. Is there something wrong? (said
curiously)
MATILDA: Sorry, Mrs. Smith. Actually, I wanted to ask, where did you buy your dream lover necklace?
(said curiously)
NARRATOR: Sensing the envy in Matilda's gaze, Marie's ego got a little boost. She never expected that a
rich young lady like Matilda Anderson would envy a piece of jewelry that she owned. Marie found this
feeling to be very satisfying. Marie cleared her throat softly.
MARIE: This was given to me by a friend (said confidently)
NARRATOR: Matilda nodded and understanding as her gaze stayed glued to the dream lover.
MATILDA: I'd like to ask you a favor. Could you perhaps ask your friend to help me buy a dream lover
necklace? (pause) Ow, don't worry, I'm not asking for a gift. How much did he pay for this beautiful
necklace? I will pay him double.
BYSTANDER: (whisper) Double the price?
SFX – (people murmuring)
NARRATOR: The table was stunned by the conversation between Matilda and Marie about a $3 million
dream lover necklace. With a double price nearing six million, Matilda emerged as the wealthiest
Anderson family member, creating a stark contrast between her and Marie. One was gentle and
graceful, the other detached and elegant. Men were infatuated, women envious. Donald nudged her
daughter, waiting for a response.
DONALD: What are you spacing out for? Hurry up and answer her question. (said impatiently)
NARRATOR: Marie, feeling the weight of everyone's stares, reluctantly pulled out her phone, dialed
Bryan Bruce, and anxiously waited. Stanley, amused, suspected the recipient and was certain it wasn't
him. As the call connected, Marie put it on speaker, catching Matilda's intense gaze. Donald, spotting
Bryan's name on the screen, couldn't hide his displeasure and exchanged glances with Stanley, fearing a
potential argument. Meanwhile, Bryan, facing personal and financial turmoil, answered the call without
checking the caller ID.
BRYAN: Hello? Who is it? (said with a gloomy voice)
NARRATOR: Marie's face stiffened and she felt a little uncomfortable. After all, Bryan had always been
gentle and considerate to her. Why did he sound so down today?
MARIE: Bryan, it's me, Marie. I have something to ask you. Would it be possible for you to buy another
dream lover necklace? (said in a pleading voice)
NARRATOR: When he realized that it was Marie calling Bryan immediately brightened up, he quickly
cleared his throat and adjusted his tone of voice.
BRYAN: Marie, I'm really sorry. I was just having a rough day, so I'm sorry if my tone was so negative. Did
you just ask me about the fake dream lover necklace? (said in a soft voice)
NARRATOR: Fake. Marie immediately frowned and looked at Matilda, who also had the same surprised
expression. This was impossible. They couldn't both be mistaken about this. The necklace Marie was
wearing was definitely genuine.
BRYAN: (sigh) Yes, it's a copy. Unfortunately, your husband threw it on the ground, but luckily it wasn't
broken. I took it home with me. If you want it, I'll send it over to you right now.
NARRATOR: Marie, bewildered, wondered who gave her the $2.8 million dream lover necklace if not
Bryan. After the call, she noticed Matilda's disappointment.
MARIE: I'm really sorry, Miss Anderson. I really don't know who gave me this necklace. (said
apologetically)
MATILDA: That's fine, Mrs. Smith. I have to say that I've just had no luck finding my own dream lover.
(said in disappointed voice)
NARRATOR: Matilda, disappointed, ate her meal while Marie, lost in thought, eyed Stanley nearby. She
pondered if he might be the one who gifted her the dream lover necklace, but doubts arose considering
his heavy investment in her company. Could he afford such a pricey gift? Meanwhile, Stanley, finishing
his meal, observed Matilda and noticed an antique ring on her finger worth around three million dollars.
As he contemplated giving Marie a beautiful ring one day, Grandpa William stood up with a smile,
addressing the guests from the stage.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: Quiet, please. Marie, please tell everyone about the secret of your successful
negotiation with Smiths Media. How did you do it? We would all love to know. (said proudly)
NARRATOR: Smiling, Grandpa Williams urged Marie onto the stage, but Marie hesitated, opting to stand
by her seat, feeling slightly embarrassed.
MARIE: Actually, it was nothing at all. When I went over that day, I didn't get to see the President of
Williams Media. It was his secretary who brought me the contract and asked me to sign it. (said
nervously)
SFX – (people murmuring)
BYSTANDER 1: What? They sign the contract right away? (whisper)
BYSTANDER 2: So just like Jason, she didn't get to see the new CEO of Williams Media either. (whisper)
BYSTANDER 3: I thought she was very capable. Seems like she was just lucky that she went there when
the new President of Williams Media was in a good mood. That’s why she got the contract. (whisper)
NARRATOR: Sitting next to Grandpa Williams, Jason sneered at the crowd's comments. Glancing at
grandpa for a reaction, he plotted revenge against Marie, determined to speak up loudly and be heard
by everyone in the room.
JASON: Grandpa, I think this is really unfair. When I went to Smith Media, maybe the new CEO was just
in a bad mood. That's why he had his assistant chase me out. This time when Marie went there, he must
have realized how sincere our family was about working with them. That's why he gave us the contract.
(said mockingly)
JASON: I think that the second person to go to Williams Media would have gotten the contract anyway,
no matter who they were. (said loudly)
NARRATOR: Marie clenched her fist as she glared at Jason, but she couldn't find the words to answer
him. Grandpa Williams, who had always loved Jason, listened intently to what his grandson had said. He
nodded in agreement.
GRANDPA WILLIAMS: Jayjay is right. Marie, you earned the contract with Smith Media pretty easily, but
it's not all because of you. Jayjay also put in a lot of work, and he suffered a lot. Obviously, half of the
credit goes to him.
NARRATOR: Marie was extremely annoyed by Grandpa William's speech, but she didn't dare to argue
with her. How could she? Jason was clearly stealing the credit for her accomplishment. Of course, Jason
was very happy with the outcome. This definitely wasn't going well for Marie.
