Discussion:
Process 1-2: Heating and humidification process
Process 2-3: Cooling and dehumidification process
Process 3-4: Heating and humidification process
The process 1-2 was expected to be only heating and no adding of moisture and
humidification. As for process 2-3, it was expected to have cooling and dehumidification
since some of the moisture was removed. Finally, in process 3-4, the expected result was
humidification and heating because the air is pushed out towards point 4 so moisture will be
added in.
In terms of relative humidity changing with temperature, as the temperature decreases
the relative humidity is expected to increase, they have an indirectly proportional
relationship.
For the changes of relative humidity in process 1-2, it was expected to see relative
humidity drop because the temperature increased due to the preheating process. For process
2-3 the expected result was to see relative humidity rise, because the temperature decreased
due to the cooling process. Finally, for process 3-4, the expected result was to see relative
humidity drop since the temperature here increased because of the reheating process.
At process 2-3. Dehumidification was not expected because the temperature at point 3
increases when compared to the dewpoint temperature at point 2.
