 It provides one integrated platform and portal for online courses.
 It covers all higher education subjects and skill sector courses.
 SWAYAM platform is developed by Ministry of Education and NPTEL ,IIT Madras

• Itprovides an online store that houses all the academic awards.


• 24-hour- a-day, seven-day-a-week online repository for all academic
awards that have been duly digitised and lodged by academic institutions &
boards.
• It also verifies and ensures the legitimacy and safekeeping of academic
documents.

FOSSEE – ( FREE / LIBRE AND OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE FOR EDUCATION

FOSSEE is an acronym for Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Education.
It is a project that promotes the use of free and open source software tools in academia
and research. FOSSEE is part of the National Mission on Education through Information
and technology (ICT), Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India
 To reduce dependency on proprietary software in educational institutions
 To encourage the use of FLOSS tools through various activities such as workshops,
webinars, online courses, etc.
 To develop new FLOSS tools and upgrade existing tools to meet the requirements of
academia and research
SPOKEN TUTORIAL
 Spoken Tutorial is a digital initiative that aims to teach and promote the
use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) through audio-video tutorials. It is a part of
the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology
(ICT)
The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)
 It is an initiative launched by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the
Indian Institute of Science (IISc)
 NPTEL is a offers a vast repository of courses, video lectures, and study materials.
 NPTEL primarily focuses on disciplines related to Engineering, Basic Sciences,
and selected Humanities and Management subjects.

E - VIDWAN
 E-Vidwan is a platform built exclusively for researchers, professionals, educational
institutions, and policymakers.
 The portal includes an experts database that will aid in the dissemination of information
from specialists to peers, potential collaborators, and research scholars around the country
 The Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET) developed and maintains
the VIDWAN database with funding from the National Mission on Education through ICT
(NMEICT)
