Executive Order
SERIES OF 2023
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 10625, also known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013,
states that the Philippine Statistical Authority (PSA) shall prepare and conduct periodic
consensus on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other
sectors of the economy;
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 10625, states that one of the functions of the PSA Board is to
prescribe appropriate frameworks for the improvement of statistical coordination and
Establish mechanisms for statistical coordinatioSn at the regional and local government unit
(LGU) levels.
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 352, Series of 1996 – “Designation of Statistical Activities
that will Generate Critical Data for Decision-Making of the Government and the Private
Sector” stipulates that conduct of mid-decade census is primarily to update the population
count in all barangays nationwide;
WHEREAS, pursuant to these legal mandates, there is a need to constitute the membership
of the Municipal Census Coordinating Board in order to conform to the terms of reference
for the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries, IACAFS Resolution No. 2;
Section 1. Composition. The Municipal Census Coordinating Board (MCCB) of Tanay is hereby
created with the following composition:

Section 2. Power and Duties of the Municipal Census Coordinating Board. The MCCB shall
be responsible for the timetable set for the coordination activities of the 2022 Census of
Agriculture and Fisheries.
b. Assist in the census operation to ensure the complete coverage of the municipality;
c. Provide security escorts to census personnel, ICT tools, and Information, Education,
and Communication (EIC) materials;
e. Provide suitable training, storage and office spaces for the census supervisors;
h. Ensure that the census returns are transported to the PSA PSO at the earliest
possible time;

i. Refer to the Provincial Census Coordinating Board (PCCB) matters which cannot be
resolved by the MCCB; and
k. Take up other matters as may be specified by the PCCB or as necessary for the
successful conduct of the census.
Section 3. Meetings of the Board. The MCCB shall meet at least once every quarter.
However, the Chairperson may convene the Board anytime whenever he deems necessary.
Section 4. Secretariat. The Secretariat shall be responsible in providing technical and
administrative support to the MCCB.
Section 5. Funding/Operating Costs. All costs pertaining to the operation of th3e Municipal
Census Coordinating Board, incidental and other expenses to its members, and other
appropriate personnel, as may hereinafter identified by the Chairperson or the Vice-
Chairperson, shall be taken from the available funds of the Municipal Government of Tanay,
subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
Section 6. Separability Clause. If any provision of this order is held invalid, the other
provision or provisions not affected thereby shall continue.
Section 7. Repealing Clause. All Executive Orders, Memoranda, Rules and Regulations,
and/or similar issuances inconsistent with this Order are hereby repealed, revoked,
amended, or modified accordingly.
