24- It is detected if the water to dive is dirty (Biological, chemical, Radioactive waste, Physical sharp cutting, piercing
metal parts, etc.), and, in case of such situations, diving will be allowed after cleaning and securing the diving
environment by taking the necessary safety precautions.
25- If dives will be made deeper than 39 meters, they will be made through OPEN BELL or UNDERWATER LIFT.
26- In dives deeper than 40 meters, the diving company will declare a treatment center "at a distance that will have the
patient diver to be treated can be taken under pressure within a maximum of 30 minutes" and will bring a contract
letter stating that it will provide service from the said diver treatment center. ("Professional Divers/Underwater
Men Regulation")
27- Divers will be employed as insured.
28- In systems with gas supply from the surface, the non-return valve on the diving head will be subjected to air smoke
test before each dive day and the result will be recorded and filed.
29- Divers who are not in good health (In the upper respiratory tract infections, Flu, Sinuses or Ears are blocked or
Psychologically corrupted) are not allowed to dive.
30- Before the dive, inside of diving head and the regulator and diving masks will be disinfected with a germicidal
solution.
31- The dive supervisor or supervisor will have a task distribution chart on a board at the dive site during the operation
briefing to be given before the dive. In this chart will be written the alternating duty relay of divers, stand by diver,
and if any, the pressure room operator and internal assistant, outfitter, emergency repair officer, diving safety
observer.
32- After the decompression diving, repeated diving will be avoided on the same day.
33- The dive registration forms of the divers will be filled by the dive supervisor during the dive, and at the end of the
day of the dive, “times at the bottom (deep underwater times)” will be recorded in the dive book and signed.
34- During the dive period, “A” dive flag or international dive flag will be hoist up to the pole to be seen from around
and will be hoist down when the dive is finished.
35- Nearby boats and ships will be informed of the dive operation. Boats passing close will be warned by calling from
VHF ch 16 and announced that there is a diver's work.
36- On the deck, measures will be taken to prevent the floor to be slippery (by sandy paint, rubber with suction cups,
dry and clean surface)
37- The compressor, generator, welding / cutting tools and other materials on the deck will be fixed with a sea tie, and
prevented from slipping if and when the boat is swaying.
38- The procedures to be followed and implemented regarding the emergencies described below will be submitted to
the Project Management as a Written Document attached to a letter.
39- In diving suits with surface gas-fed,
In case of air oxygen mixture gas shortage,
If respiratory gas rates are wrong,
In case of excessive moisture in the breathing air,
In case of air hose burst,
If the diver fails to show up the surface,
If the diver is missing
The methods for the emergency procedures to be followed will be presented together with the documents in the file.
General Instructions
40- Obey all caution and warning signs throughout the entire project.
41- Be sure to follow the construction site rules, instructions, as well as work health and safety and environmental rules
described in the training.
