1.6 Work Procedure
1.6.1 Pre Installation
1.6.1.1 Delivery Plan
1.6.1.1.1 Data from the site measurement will be referred for material
delivery in accordance with the need and availability.
1.6.1.1.2 A number of materials will be unloaded at a store yard for
reasonable intervals along the proposed locations installation by
obtaining the approval from local authority.
1.6.1.1.3 The location where materials will be unloaded must be carefully
selected to avoid users around that area
1.6.1.1.4 All the materials shall be approved by Consultant prior delivery to
store yard.
1.6.1.1.5 All the materials at the work areas shall not block any access.
1.6.1.2 Preliminary & Site Inspection
1.6.1.2.1 Get all related working permit before start work.
1.6.1.2.2 All materials must be inspected by consultant/engineer/Clerk-of-
Work to ensure all materials are according to required
specifications and approved MSA. RFI will be raised for material
inspection.
1.6.1.2.3 All works are to be carried out according to the approved MST and
also approved shop drawing.
1.6.1.2.4 A mock up installation will be carried out if needed before work
start.
1.6.1.2.5 Personnel are equipped with PPE & safety harness when working
at height.
1.6.2 Cable Containment Support Bracket Installation
1.6.2.1 Suspended Support Bracket Installation
1.6.2.1.1 The required elevation from the floor to the bottom of the cable
containment is measured according to approved shop drawing to
install the cable containment support.
1.6.2.1.2 A level line is established with laser or nylon string. A string works
well because it can be used to align the threaded rods one side of
the Trapeze and find the top of the support.
1.6.2.1.3 Mark in a way to ensure that the routing of the cable containment is
either parallel or perpendicular to the building line. It can be either

marked by line on soffit or slab by pulling a string along the cable
containment route.
1.6.2.1.4 Holes are drilled on the marked point to secure stud rod on the slab
or structure by using anchor bolt. The bolt is then tightened with nut
and washer by using spanner.
1.6.2.1.5 Once anchored, a stud rod will be installed at slab. Nuts and
washers are fixed to secure the rod as shown in Figure 4.
Figure 4: Stud Rod installation details (Detail A)
1.6.2.1.6 At bottom of the rods, angle iron bracket will be fixed with the rod at
both end of angle iron bracket to hang cable containments. Spring
nuts, flat bar, nuts and washers are tightened to secure the rod
1.6.2.1.7 The distance between hangers is 1000mm.
1.6.2.2 Wall Mounted Support Bracket Installation
1.6.2.2.1 The required elevation from the floor to the bottom of the cable
containment is measured according to approved shop drawing to
install the cable containment support.
1.6.2.2.2 A level line is established with laser or nylon string. A string works
well because it can be used to align the bracket one side of the
Trapeze.
1.6.2.2.3 Mark in a way to ensure that the routing of the cable containment is
either parallel or perpendicular to the building line. It can be either
mark by line on wall by pulling a string along the cable containment
route.

1.6.2.3 Wall Mounted Support Bracket Installation in Riser
1.6.2.3.1 The required position of cable containment in riser is marked
according to approved shop drawing.
1.6.2.3.2 A straight line is established with laser or nylon string. A string
works well because it can be used to align the bracket one side of
the Trapeze.
1.6.2.3.3 Mark in a way to ensure that the routing of the cable containment is
either parallel or perpendicular to the building line. It can be either
mark by line on wall by pulling a string along the cable containment
route.
1.6.2.3.4 Holes are drilled on the marked point to secure C-channel on the
wall or structure by using anchor bolt as shown in Figure 8. The bolt
is then tightened with nut and washer by using spanner.
