Phase 2 Development Document

Mobile App Development

Leftover work from Phase 1:

1. Google Ads Integration


2. Google Maps Integration
3. Dark mode on app (option should be in menu)
4. Push notifications

Bugs and Improvement from Phase 1:

1. Implement Facebook and Apple Login (Implement Apple Login as soon as possible)

2. Remove separate social signup button on signup page and have single button for each social media
on login page that says, “Continue Login with” and checks if email exists in database if it does then
its signs in the user else creates the account for user and signs the user in.

Image shows example of how other website/apps are implementing Social Login.

We don’t want to change the existing appearance. ONLY IMPLEMENT LOGIC OF

3. Homepage Alignment Issue

Reduce Spacing between Categories and the 4 categories buttons. Make View All Ads
button a little bigger. Slightly increase gap between “view all ads” button and text
“Recommended for you”.
4. Some pages on the app still show ads in oldest to newest order, change it to show newest ads on
top.

The issue exists when viewing lists of ads by clicking on brand or categories on homepage.

5. When you go to edit an ad, the image and WhatsApp number disappears, and you need to enter
again.

Image shows example of ad being edited, the images of vehicle and WhatsApp
number are disappeared.

6. Give the user option to delete their account, when they click the button, it should give them a form
to fill asking why they want to delete their account, after they submit the form, it should say
“Thanks for your feedback! Your account will be deleted within 24 hours!” The form should be sent
to us on email on [email protected]

Keep the form short and simple, an example of a form is below.


It needs to fetch email of the logged in
account of the user and display on the form
without the option of editing the email.
The mail sent to us needs to be with the email
of the user.

7. While posting an ad, give the user the option to change order of pictures and make the first picture
the main picture of the ad.

Phase 2:

1. Create new experience for posting an ad. (Will create a storyboard and share soon)
2. Pull down to refresh on homepage.
3. Create a logic for Recommended ads, the logic should be based on brands viewed and/or price
range (plus+ minus-10,000 AED)
4. Remove “View all” Option on “Recommended Ads” on the homepage.

ONLY REMOVE VIEW ALL FOR “RECOMMEDED FOR YOU”


5. Create filters and Sort Options brands and filter by vehicle amount.

6. Create Find Cars by budget option and implement it in the homepage below latest ads.

Need to add this option here.

7. Implement Stripe integration in the app (Stripe account is already created)


8. While posting and create a page that asks user if he wants to feature his ad for a certain amount or
wants to continue posting his ad for free (More details will be given later, no need to implement in
the app, only create dart file for it for now)
9. In Blogs Remove slideshow picture and show the pictures in an order like on the website, give
option to share blogs through social media, correct the time format, remove “update at” date AND
time, remove “created at” TIME ONLY!

Format the time properly as said above, add author name below
and then options to share the article through social media.

10. Move Favorite Icon from the image to the side shown in the image below.

11. All Ads on app should show posted Date when clicked on the ad.

Insert date of ad post below category and make price bigger to cover the area.
Website Development

Leftover work from Phase 1:

1. Have the option to save the ads as favorites (this feature is on the mobile, but needs to be
added on website as well, it should sync with the app)
2. Implement Chat feature that syncs with the app (App already has the chat feature)
3. Implement Facebook (Facebook Login is not working) and Apple login.
4. Google Maps integration

In Blogs give option to share blogs through social media, at end of the blog. correct the time
format, remove “update at” date AND time, remove TIME of “created at”, DATE SHOULD BE THERE
ONLY! Add hashtags to blogs at end. Look at an example to get ideas. Make the admin panel more
flexible to add hash tags option and other things needed to recreate the link above.

Using these points as a reference, development can be initiated, and the rest of the pages can be designed as suited
best and further changes can be decided during the course of the project if needed.
