Introduction

We have chosen the theme Complex Numbers Simplify Life because this theme helps to

simplify real life even though imagination is inside it. To better describe this topic, we have done

relevant research and detailed research. Most people did not think that mathematics could
improve their lives, but it is quite the opposite. To begin with, complex numbers are numbers

mixed between real and imaginary numbers. Complex numbers are used in many kinds of fields

in real life.

In electronics, we are used to represent the general form of a complex number in a circuit

that has voltage and current. In Electronics, the circuit is mainly based on current and voltage.

In electromagnetism, the main elements are the electric field and the magnetic field.

A quadratic equation is used to find the roots of the equation. If the quadratic equation

cannot find the real roots, then the roots are said not to be real roots labeled as imaginary roots.

In computer science, data plays a big role. The data cannot be viewed visually because it

is in the form of CSV files. Those CSV file data can be viewed using visual representation

methods in computer science.

Also we use complex numbers in mechanical engineering and civil design is the main one

for cars and buildings. To do so we need to use 2D design concepts that mostly depend only on

complex numbers.

The conversion of time domain system control systems to frequency domain is required

to be done using the Laplace transform. In that the poles and zeros of the system are addressed

using a complex plane that has a real and an imaginary axis.

Therefore, we think that this is a very necessary topic.

Literature Review

There are a number of books about complex numbers and their use. If we get some links
they can be the books and we have some of their examples as below:
1.Fundamentals of Complex Analysis with Applications in Engineering, Science, and
Mathematics by Edward B. Saff, Arthur David Snidert provides a comprehensive introduction to
complex variable theory and its applications to current engineering problems. Modeled after
standard calculus textbooks – both in exposition and presentation – it includes physical
applications throughout the presentation, so that the mathematical methodology seems less sterile
to engineering students.
2. Complex Variables and Applications by James Brown, Ruel Churchill. The text is
designed to develop theory that is prominent in subject applications. We found a particular
emphasis given to the application of residuals and conformal maps. Improvements to the text
include expanded explanations of theorems, greater detail in arguments, and the division of
topics into their own sections.
3. Schaum's Outline of Complex Variables by Murray Spiegel, Seymour Lipschutz, John
Schiller, Dennis Spellman.
These books have helped us to find the necessary information and materials for the
realization of this topic. They are books for beginners but they fit the requirements quite well and
give you answers to the questions that troubled our thoughts about complex numbers and their
use in real life.
If we talk about the first book, it contained the right information for the application of
complex numbers in the field of engineering and how they facilitated it.
As for the second book, it had the basics, so he spoke in general. There we found the
main points about complex numbers, information without which we could not continue the other
steps of the project.
While the third book helped us with the use of complex numbers in other areas about the
topic.

Methods

At first we were confused about the topic as we were not completely sure. But then we made
sure and chose the topic. First we did a basic search on the internet to create a general idea about
it and it caught our attention. Then, when we saw the fields in which complex numbers were
used, we did a detailed research. We have spoken with people from different fields of
professions such as engineers, engineering students, electricians, mathematics and physics
teachers, etc. However, a series of books have helped us immeasurably. Books have helped us a
lot in finding different and important information on the subject of complex numbers. We have
understood with the books, what complex numbers are, why they have helped us in our daily life
and how they make our lives easier.
