Script For Graduation
Opening(Cris): The great Shonda Rhimes once said “Dreams are lovely. But they are just
dreams. Fleeting, ephemeral, pretty. But dreams do not come true just because you dream them.
It is hard work that makes things happen. It is hard work that creates change.”
Janice: A pleasant afternoon to one and all. It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you all to
the graduation ceremony. This is a much-awaited event in every student’s lives, as it gives the
returns to the efforts put in by the students throughout their academic endeavor.
Cris: Good afternoon Mam Janice! Today is indeed a day that is full of joy, the day about pride
and accomplishments, the day that even the sunny weather or the rainy season cannot stop our
celebration. Friends, ladies, and gentlemen, welcome to the 6th Commencement Exercises of
Ramon Avanceña National High School with the theme: “Gradweyt ng K to 12: Hinubog ng
Matatag na Edukasyon”
Janice: And now, let us all rise to behold the passionate members of Graduating Class of school
year 2022-2023 in their processional march!
Cris: Let us all welcome, the Candidates for Graduation with their parents.
Cris: Let us also welcome the stakeholders in education – PTA officials, Barangay and
Municipal Officials. Let us also give a glad hand to the pillars of this institution, the faculty and
staff, the Department Heads, our ever-supportive principal Mr. Salvador M. Besares, let us also
show our gratitude to our special guest, the Division of Iloilo City Chief Education Supervisor
of Curriculum Implementation Division, Mr. Arlo L. Villalva, together with our esteemed guest
speaker, Dr. Francis S. Legario.
**Entrance of Colors**
Cris (Preliminaries): Please remain standing as we pay homage to our beloved nation and
divine grace as we unite in the singing of the Philippine national anthem followed by a heartfelt
invocation and the singing of Iloilo city Hymn by the RANHS Marching Band.
Janice: (Welcome Remarks) You may now take your seats. To formally welcome us all to this
graduation ceremony, may we invite Jude Keneth P. Agujetas, 12 HUMSS – Timothy, with
honors, learner with highest grade point average, for his welcome remarks. Let’s give him a
round of applause please.
Cris (Presentation and Confirmation of Graduates) Thank you Kenneth. Now, we arrive at
the highlight of our ceremony – the Presentation of Candidates for Graduation. May we invite
Mr. Salvador M. Besares, our school head to present our accomplished students. This is to be
followed by the confirmation and attestation of the graduates by our Chief Education
Supervisor for Curriculum Implementation Division, Division of Iloilo City, Sir Arlo L.
Villalva.
Janice (Introduction of Guest Speaker): Thank you sir Besares and Sir Villalva. Success is
not final. All we need is courage to continue; and the inspiration to move forward. At this
juncture, let us welcome Mr. Regy D. Labus, Master Teacher II – SHS to introduce our today’s
Commencement Speaker.
Cris (Awarding of Certificates to Commencement Speaker): Thank you for your words of
inspiration, Dr. Legario. Despite limitations, some of our graduates have proven that excellence
is never impossible with hard work and determination. This time around, we would like to take
this opportunity to present this certificate of appreciation and token to our commencement
speaker. May we invite once again Sir Besares to hand over the certificate, to be assisted by Sir
Villalva. The certificate reads . . . .

Cris (Recorded message by DepEd Secretary): Congratulations dear graduates, Finally, you
have received your diplomas. The proof of you hard work and determination. At this moment,
let us now draw inspiration from a very special message from the Vice-President of the
Republic of the Philippines and the Department of Education Secretary, Hon. Sara Z. Duterte on
record.
Janice (Commencement Song): Thank you DepEd Secretary Sara Z. Duterte. In every
memorable moment of one’s life, there are always songs that will embody inferred emotions.
With a round of applause, let us welcome the graduates for their graduation song.
Janice (Acknowledgment and Recessional): Thank you Nicole. To all the graduates, the
honor graduates, and parents, congratulations. This day calls for celebration. Thank you for
gracing this momentous occasion with us.
Cris: Before we officially conclude these exercises, we would like to convey our sincerest
felicitations to all those who in every way have made this occasion a success. To our esteemed
guests, thank you for gracing this momentous occasion. Your presence is an inspiration.
Janice: To the members of the Faculty and Staff of RANHS, we are truly grateful for the gift of
learnings and meaningful life experiences you have shared with our graduates. To our school
administration headed by our Principal, Mr. Salvador M. Besares, please accept our heartfelt
appreciation of your genuine advocacy for quality education.
Cris: To our beloved parents, thank you being our constant partners in educating our students,
your children. Your trust and confidence have been a powerful thrust to give the quality
education our youngsters deserve. In gratitude, let us give our DEAR PARENTS a resounding,
warm round of applause. [PAUSE]
Janice: To our dear graduates, we salute you for you have survived the challenges. We hope
that your education coupled with commitment, passion, and hard work will propel you to
greater heights of success.
Cris: Once again, congratulations on your graduation and good luck on your future endeavors.

saying, Mabuhay ang batang Pilipino!
