Dynamics when switching off motor loads
Switching Types /Areas

• If the residual voltage of the busbar drops significantly


(default value < 30 %) before rotating to the in-phase
point, the residual voltage is so low that closing at this
point won’t have much impact on the motor. This is
called “residual-voltage mode”.

• Traditional ATS works in this way. Of course, if the CB


is closed under this condition, the motor spins at such a
low speed that impact on production is inevitable.

• The "long-time mode" is also a kind of dead-


voltage closing.

Both “residual-voltage mode” and “long-time


mode” are backup modes.
