II. Background and Rationale:

It is part of the roles of the Department of Education to inform its various stakeholders , both the
internal and external, regarding the schools' performance status at the end of the school year. It is also on this
occasion that the schools will ask the stakeholders to renew their commitment of support to the programs,
projects and activities of the department.
DepEd Loboc District finds it necessary to communicate the schools' updates not only on infrastructure
development especially that many schools had been affected by Typhoon Odette but also their accomplishments
in implementing the curriculum together with their bottlenecks, lags, issues and concerns (BLICS) in the
curriculum implementation and governance for the school year. This is also an avenue to gather feedback and
suggestions from the stakeholders to ensure that the schools meet the evolving needs of the community. Thus,
the district plans to hold a district-wide Education Summit and Convergence of Stakeholders on August 24,
2023 at the 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

III. Objectives:

This activity aims to strengthen the involvement of key educational stakeholders in achieving
school improvements. It is expected that after this activity, the participants will be able to:
1. raise awareness on school improvement status.
2. restore mutual knowledge of each other’s roles in school improvements.
3. express commitment to support school projects, programs and activities.
