The Albuquerque, N.M.-based
company offers a wide range of
haulage products for construction
and mining OEMs. They include

52,000-gallon capacity, water pumps,
specialty dumper bodies, bottom-
dump trailers, equipment trailers and
custom fabrications.
In response to the growth, the com-
pany doubled its number of employ-
ees to 140. It is one of the largest par-
ticipants in New Mexico’s Industrial
Job Training Program, which funds
classroom and on-the-job training for
expanding businesses. “Mega hires
experienced personnel or graduates
of formal training programs,” Kunz
says. “Mega provides extensive on-
the-job training for most of its posi-
tions, due to the unique nature of its
products.”
The company also invests in its
facilities. Earlier this year, the com-
pany opened a new building in
Albuquerque that will be used for cut-
ting operations, such as machine
shop, sawing and ironworking. The
facility increased Mega’s total manu-
facturing floor space by 20 percent.
