Target Unit Unit 1. Aa Bb


1. Students will be able to recognize uppercase and lowercase letter Aa, Bb.
2. Students will be able to recognize the sounds and letters alphabet sounds
/a/, /b/.
Objectives
3. Students will be able to learn words that begin with the sounds Aa Bb.
4. Students will be able to build confidence in reading and writing the target
letters.
Target Words apple, ant, alligator, bear, bag, banana

3. Introduce what is going to be learned today.
Step 1.
4. Let the students look at the title of unit on the page 4. Student book
Introduction
5. Teacher clearly sound out /a/ and /b/. p.4
6. After teacher model the sounds, the students repeat them.

Listen & Chant p.4-5


1. Students listen to the CD track no.2 and chant along with the track_02
word chant.
2. Students look at the word pictures while chanting.
3. Teacher sound out /a/ and /b/ and the students repeat them.
4. Check if the students sound out correctly.
5. Chant again together.
Trace the Letters
Step 2. 1. Teacher demonstrate how to write A a and B b on the board.
Presentation 2. Students trace the letters in their books with a pencil.
3. Check if the students can trace the letters correctly.
Circle & Write 1
1. Students circle the letters on the page 5.
2. Check if the students circle the letters correctly.
3. Students write the letters.
4. After they finish it, they read the words out loud looking at the
pictures.

Listen & Repeat p.6


1. Students listen to the CD track no.3 and repeat the target sound track_03
