About The Author –

Satyajit Ray, born in Kolkata, India, in 1921, is an iconic figure in


the world of cinema. He is celebrated for his groundbreaking
contributions to Indian filmmaking, which departed from the
melodramatic conventions of Bollywood. In 1955, Ray introduced
"Pather Panchali," the first installment of the Apu Trilogy. This
series redefined Indian cinema with its realistic, human-centric
storytelling.
The Apu Trilogy, which also includes "Aparajito" and "Apur
Sansar," traces the life of Apu in rural Bengal. These films won
international acclaim, earning Ray prestigious awards and
accolades. Beyond filmmaking, Ray was a prolific author and
illustrator. He wrote detective novels featuring Feluda and science
fiction stories with Professor Shonku. His creative brilliance
extended to his illustrations.
Ray's influence reached global audiences, transcending cultural

Bengali science fiction writer Satyajit Ray. Professor Trilokeshwar
Shonku, often referred to as Professor Shonku, is a brilliant scientist
