Before start attempting your paper, please read the instructions carefully

 Perform the practical exercise on computer system. Make a folder with your name on the desktop and save
each part separately.
 Questions are numbered on the left-hand side of the Question paper. On the right-hand side of the page
for each step, you will find a box which you can tick (Ι ̸) when you have completed it; this will help you track
your progress through the test.
 At the end of the exam submit this Question Paper to the examiner for the Assessment Record Folder.

Question # 1: Recognize system components [ CLO-1, Psychomotor Domain -1, PLO-1] Marks 10

Recognize the hardware present in your computer system. Make a new MS word document and Save this
document with the filename “Your_name_Q1.docx”. Insert a table and save the answer like below given
template.

Question # 2: Make a file MS Word: [ CLO-2, Psychomotor Domain -4, PLO-5] Marks 10

1. Make a new word processed document. Save this with the filename “Your_name_Q2.docx”
2. Place your name, Registration number and Program Discipline in the header of this document.
3. Create “Table of content” on first page of the document with page numbering in roman.

4. On page 2 write below given paragraphs and do following.

There are different types of computer systems nowadays for different purpose according to the
user needs. However we can classify them into different groups based on different aspects. We
can find four different type of computers based on size. These are large computers that are most
powerful. They can complete tasks very soon and are optimized to complete given tasks quickly.
Mainframe Computers. These are the largest computers and can support hundreds of users
simultaneously. These are powerful computers and optimized to run maximum number of
applications at one time. These are medium sized computers –smaller than mainframe but much
larger than personal computers. They can be the best solution for medium scale organizations.
Micro Computers. Micro computers are the smallest when size is concerned. They range from
Desktop, Laptop up to the palm top and even smaller ones. Because micro computers are
developed to support single person, they are often called personal computers (PCs).

i. Divide the above text into 4 paragraphs and justify Alignment.


ii. Paragraph with Normal styles having “Aerial Font”, 12 size and 1.5 line spacing with
0.6cm left indent.
iii. Heading 1 “Classification of computer based on size” with 1st level numbering with
“Times New Roman” font, size 14, bold, 12mm spacing.
iv. Identify the subheadings in the document and make them all bold, sans-serif and 12
point. Make sure there is one line space below each subheading.
5. Write the following equations. (2 Marks)
