The Academic Affairs Framework incorporates promotion of quality and relevant
tertiary education.
To this end, the University Quality Assurance Office prepared the Quality
Assurance Plan for Cagayan State University (2018-2021 and 2021-2024). These
plans enunciate QA endeavors on self-assessment, external evaluation,
continuous improvement, quality enhancement, and sharing of best practices.
Thus, the University leads the programs in pursuit of these quality education and
services.

As a result of this quality assurance endeavors, the university was able to acquire
Certifications from local accrediting bodies and international certifying
organizations.
ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Through the undertaking of ISO certification, the University
Quality Management System Manual (QMS) was
approved and made in place.
As essential for maintaining ISO certification, the said audit further ensures the
campus continually aligns with practices that are bound to internationally
recognized standards.
After acceptance, the Campus SAR Team rigorously prepared for the visit where
students, alumni, employers, and the academic and support staff were
interviewed regarding the programs.
Prior to submission, the SAR was reviewed by the Campus AUN-QA Team led by
CEO Arthur G. Ibanez, and the University AUN-QA Team led by President Urdujah
G. Alvarado.
During the closing session, the Assessors highlighted the program's strengths,
including its curriculum, and areas for improvement, like the conduct of
benchmarking exercises. Assessment results are expected to be released two
months after the remote visit.
The remote visit was made possible also through the help of the Campus ZMT
Team led by the Campus MIS.
