Target group This course is open to students and German language learners of all majors and disciplines.
Description/content Come and explore Wittenberg and its UNESCO world heritage sites during the winter months. In this
language course, you will not only discover the history of Luther’s town and learn about the city’s
famous inhabitants but also learn a lot about Germany today.
Class time
Placement test
9:00 am – 12:15 pm / 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm, communicative language classes at different levels
Training of all four language skills — reading, listening, writing, and speaking
Lessons in pronunciation by trained specialists
Learn about current cultural and socio-political topics as well as the history and current
reality of the area around Wittenberg
Work on projects and final exam

Description of social and Wittenberg is a beautiful little German town filled withUNESCO World Heritage Sites, parks, cafés,
leisure programme and recreation areas along the Elbe River.
During our language courses, two international volunteers (ESC/FSJ) will be organising a wide
range of free-time and leisure activities.

Two day trips to Berlin and Leipzig (or other cities), including guided city tours, free-time
suggestions
Afternoon visit to UNESCO World Heritage SiteDessau/Wörlitz
