THE VIOLENT CRIME RATE INCREASE OF 2010-2016

In the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting program, acts of violence


are accounted for throughout the years. The types of crimes that are
included can be any of the following: murder, rape, robbery, and Violent Crime rate
aggravated assault. In this report, I will be informing how the crime
rate has increased from 2010 through 2016.

In 2016, 1,248,185 violent crimes occurred nationwide, an 2011

during 2014, there has been a steady incline in crime rates. Different types of
