Aggravated assaults, which made up 64.3% of violent crimes reported in 2016, and murders increased the most during this period.     THE VIOLENT CRIME RATE INCREASE OF 2010-2016

    In the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting program, acts of violence


    are accounted for throughout the years. The types of crimes that are
    included can be any of the following: murder, rape, robbery, and Violent Crime rate
    aggravated assault. In this report, I will be informing how the crime
    rate has increased from 2010 through 2016.

    In 2016, 1,248,185 violent crimes occurred nationwide, an 2011
    increase of 4.1 percent from the 2015 estimate. 14% 14%

    Crime Offense you can see, the years after 2010 the crime rate dropped. After an all-time low
    during 2014, there has been a steady incline in crime rates. Different types of
