ABSTRACT

Communication, fundamental to human connection, shapes our interactions and worldview. However,
for individuals with hearing impairments, this foundational element becomes a complex challenge.
While sign language serves as a unique and enriching mode of expression within the deaf community,
it presents a barrier for those who do not know it, hindering communication with individuals with
hearing impairments. Recognizing this gap.

The project embarks on an exploration of the challenges faced by this community, aiming to
provide innovative solutions for enhanced communication. By leveraging advanced deep learning
methodologies, the primary objective is to train a model proficient in decoding the intricate gestures
embedded in sign language. This endeavour aspires to bridge the communication gap, contributing to
a more inclusive and accessible means of connection for individuals with hearing impairments.
