𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔

𝑨𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑵𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆
none but (ব্যক্তির ক্ষেত্রে)
Rule – 1: only / alone nothing but (বস্তুর ক্ষেত্রে)
not more than/not less than (সংখ্যার ক্ষেত্রে)
Affirmative: Only Allah can help us.
Negative: None but Allah can help us.
Affirmative: I have bought only a book.
Negative: I have bought nothing but a book.
Affirmative: He is only twenty years old.
Negative: He is Not more than twenty years old.
Rule – 2: must / have to / has to / should cannot but / cannot help (verb + ing)
Affirmative: I must do the work.
Negative: I cannot but do the work.
Affirmative: He has to clean the room.
Negative: He cannot help cleaning the room.
Rule – 3: both………and / and not only………but also
Affirmative: Both you and your friend came here.
Negative: not only you but also your friend came here.
Rule – 4: every there is no ……… but
Affirmative: Every mother loves her child.
Negative: there is no mother but loves her child.
no sooner had………than (past tense এর ক্ষেত্রে)
Rule – 5: as soon as
no sooner do/does………than (present ও future tense এর ক্ষেত্রে)
Affirmative: As soon as he saw me, he ran away.
Negative: No sooner had he seen me, than he ran away.
Affirmative: As soon as I come here, he stands up.
Negative: No sooner do I come here than he stands up.
Rule – 6: Superlative Degree no other………so / as……as
Affirmative: He is the best boy in the village.
Negative: No other boy in the village is as good as he.
Rule – 7: সাধারণ Affirmative not…+…ক্তবপরীত শব্দ
Affirmative: I shall remember you.
Negative: I shall not forget you.
Rule – 8: always never…+…ক্তবপরীত শব্দ
Affirmative: He is always a good player.
Negative: He is never a bad player.
Rule – 9: too……to so……that + Subject + cannot / could not (tense অনুসাত্রর)
Affirmative: He is too weak to walk.
Negative: He is so weak that he cannot walk.
Rule – 10: as………as not less………than
Affirmative: He is as tall as I.
Negative: He is not less tall than I.
Rule – 11: ক্তিরন্তন সতয (Interrogative + Negative) বাক্য হয়
Affirmative: Health is wealth.
Negative: Isn’t health wealth.
Rule – 12: sometimes not always
Affirmative: He sometimes visits me.
Negative: He does not always visits me.

Affirmative: He has a few friends.
Negative: He has not many friends.
Rule – 15: a little not much
Affirmative: I have a little rice.
Negative: I have not much rice.
Rule – 16: much not a little
Affirmative: I have much money.
Negative: I have not a little money.
𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆
Rule – 1: Affirmative Sentences (Interrogative + Negative) হয়
Assertive: He talks tea.
Interrogative: Doesn`t he take tea?
Rule – 2: Negative Sentences Interrogative হয়
Assertive: I don`t play ball.
Interrogative: Do I play ball?
Rule – 3: Never ever বত্রস এবং বাক্যটি Interrogative হয়
Assertive: I never forget you.
Interrogative: Do I ever forget you?
Rule – 4: nothing anything বত্রস এবং বাক্যটি Interrogative হয়
Assertive: There was nothing to do.
Interrogative: Was there anything to do?
Rule – 5: everybody / everyone / all who doesn`t / didn`t
Assertive: Everybody loves flowers.
Interrogative: Who doesn`t loves flowers?
Rule – 6: every + noun is there any + noun + who doesn`t / who will not (must থাক্ত্রে)
Assertive: Every man hates a liar.
Interrogative: Is there any man who doesn`t hate a liar?
Rule – 7: nobody / no one / none who
Assertive: Nobody can do this.
Interrogative: Who can do this?
Rule – 8: there is no what/who (ব্যক্তি- who, বস্তু- what)
Assertive: There is no use of this law.
Interrogative: What is the use of this law?
Assertive: There is no man happier than Jamil.
Interrogative: Who is happier than Jamil?
Rule – 9: It is no use why + Verb (present form)
Assertive: It is no use memorizing answer for any examination.
Interrogative: Why memorize answer for any examination?
Rule – 10: It does not matter what though
Assertive: It does not matter if we lose the game.
Interrogative: What though if we lose the game?
Rule – 11: nothing but what……but
Assertive: Friendship is nothing but a name.
Interrogative: What is friendship but a name?
Assertive: Life is nothing but full of actions.
Interrogative: What is life but full of actions?

Verb ক্ষথত্রক্ ক্ষশষ পর্ যন্ত (হযাঁ ক্ষবাধক্ বাত্রক্যর ক্ষেত্রে)


Rule – 1: Subject you হত্রে
Do not + verb ক্ষথত্রক্ ক্ষশষ পর্ যন্ত (না ক্ষবাধক্ বাত্রক্যর ক্ষেত্রে)
Assertive: You should do the work.
Imperative: Do the work.
Assertive: You must obey your parents.
Imperative: Obey your parents.
Assertive: You should not run in the sun.
Imperative: Do not run in the sun
Let + প্রদত্ত Subject এর Object + Verb ক্ষথত্রক্ ক্ষশষ পর্ যন্ত
Rule – 2: Subject 1st বা 3rd person হত্রে ( হযাঁ ক্ষবাধক্ বাত্রক্যর ক্ষেত্রে )
Let + প্রদত্ত Subject এর Object + not + Verb ক্ষথত্রক্ ক্ষশষ
পর্ যন্ত ( না ক্ষবাধক্ বাত্রক্যর ক্ষেত্রে )
{ক্তবিঃ দ্রিঃ Subject ক্ষক্াত্রনা নাম হত্রে Let এর পত্রর not বত্রস}
Assertive: He plays football.
Imperative: Let him play football.
Assertive: We do not hate the poor.
Imperative: Let us not hate the poor.
Assertive: Nipa does not do the work.
Imperative: Let Nipa do the work.
Rule – 3: request যুি বাক্য please / kindly + verb ক্ষথত্রক্ ক্ষশষ পর্ যন্ত
Assertive: I request you to do it.
Imperative: Please do it.
Assertive: You are requested to help him.
Imperative: Kindly help him.
Rule – 4: never যুি বাক্য never + verb ক্ষথত্রক্ ক্ষশষ পর্ যন্ত
Assertive: You should never tell a lie.
Imperative: Never tell a lie.
𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚
Rule – 1: I wish if / would that / had (র্খন বাত্রক্য had থাত্রক্)
Assertive: I wish I were a bird.
Exclamatory: If I were a bird!
Assertive: I wish I had the wings of a bird.
Exclamatory: Had I the wings of a bird!
Assertive: I wish I could be a child again.
Exclamatory: Would that I could be a child again!
Or, If I could be a child again!
Rule – 2: very / great What (a/an থাক্ত্রে) / How (a/an না থাক্ত্রে)
Assertive: The picture is very nice.
Exclamatory: How nice the picture is!
Assertive: You are a great fool.
Exclamatory: What a fool you are!
Rule – 3: It is a matter of joy that Hurrah
Assertive: It is a matter of joy that I have done well.
Exclamatory: Hurrah! I have done well.
Rule – 4: It is a matter of sorrow that Alas
Assertive: It is a matter of sorrow that I am finished.
Exclamatory: Alas! I am finished.
