Cat DEO is a premium oil specially developed and tested for

the basis for DEO performance, then goes beyond those
specifications to develop an oil that meets the needs of Cat

Special Test #1—3406E Endurance Test

The first test is conducted in a 550 HP (410 KW) C-15 (3406E) diesel
engine, which runs at full-rated power for 500 hours without an oil drain.
Oil condition and consumption are monitored throughout the test. Cat
DEO must provide stable oil consumption and low levels of deposits to
pass this test.

Special Test #3—3500 Series Test

The final test is conducted in a new 3500 Series diesel engine, which
runs for 85 hours at full-rated power. After this test, the engine is selec-
tively disassembled and inspected for wear and deposits.
