CHAPTER III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter describes the research methods and procedures which will be used in the

conduct of the study. Specifically, it tackles the research design, locale, population and sampling,

and data gathering procedure.

Research Design

This study is conducted to determine the problem of the Talipan National High

School on maintaining the cleanliness of its surrounding and determines the perspective of the

utilities on robots taking their job on cleaning the premises of the school. The researchers will

use a descriptive qualitative approach as the method of collecting and gathering of data from the

participants with their detailed information and opinions to qualify the study. The process of

accumulating data will be a 1 on 1 interview with the participant for gathering information for

the conclusion of the study.

Research Locale

The study is conducted in the vicinity of Talipan National High School located at Brgy.

Talipan Pagbilao, Quezon. It is a school that provide secondary education ranging from junior

(grade 7 to 10) and senior high (grade 11 and 12) it is a school achieved the title “Brigada

Eskwela: Best implementer” in large school and secondary level on Region IV-A by the

Department of Education on 2015 and 2017. And on the year 2019, the school achieved “2019

Brigada Eskwela Plus Most Sustained School” in large school and secondary level. This proved

how the school take the cleanliness as a virtue. Thus, this also prove how Talipan National High

School is worth of being the locality of this study.


Population and Sampling

The chosen sampling design for this study will be a stratified sampling technique.

Stratified Sampling is a sampling technique where the researchers divide the

participants and respondents to multiple subgroups based on the characteristics they shared. And

once the characteristics has been divided and classified in to the group, the participants will then

be choose randomly.

Research Instrumentation

Instrument the researchers used the unstructured interview questionnaires which consist

of six (6) questions as the primary tool for gathering the data for the study. The use of the

questionnaires is to determine the problem of Talipan national high school on maintaining its

cleanliness and the perspective of utilities of Talipan national high school on robots taking over

the utilities’ job to clean the school perimeters.

Data Gathering Procedure

This part includes the step by step procedure for data gathering.

The researchers started the study after the approval and


confirmation of the chosen topic.

Upon approval, the questionnaires were personally distributed


to the participants in TNHS in PAgbilao Quezon on the
academic year 2022-2023

Sufficient time will be given to the participants in answering


the questionnaire. The researchers will assure the participants
that their responses will be kept confidential.

After retrieving the instrument, the researchers will analyze,


collate, score and tabulate the data for data analysis.
