Digitrim62 Step by Step Calibration
Digitrim62 Step by Step Calibration
In order to make these calibrations provide a 50x50 inches sheet (minimum) with printed
images ( example 8x10). Then follow step by step these instruction:
BLADE
PAPER PAPER EDGE A
PRESSURE
ROLLS
TRACKING CALIBRATION
11. Feed/forward the paper with the arrows key , (do not use test or start )
until the next cut mark , check if the second cut mark is still aligned to the blade line.
12. Repeat same operation until you will have fed at least 20 inches of paper. If after
feeding there is a misalignment between blades edge and cut mark on one side, for
more than 1/10” (2,5 mm), the upper roller pressure has to be increased or decreased
to compensate the error.
The pressure rollers adjustments is made by setting the pressure of the roll by the
black set screws inside the metal block as per follow images.
1 3
Note: the paper goes more forward where the pressure of the roller is higher (adjust
accordingly)
SQUARE CALIBRATION
13. Once the tracking is ok, realign again the middle white of the first mark to the
blade’s edge, press then test, check if the blade aligns correctly with the mark. If it
is not aligned , set the square correction on the Factory Setting Menu:
• Press CLR for few seconds to access to the factory settings menu
• Press D/cut key to access to the Square Correction Main Value
• Modify the square by increasing or decreasing its value until the cut mark
shall be aligned to the blade.
14. Once the correction is ok/ in square, try to introduce paper with a small angle (3-4°
degrees) on both sides ( first right side, second left side).
If you get under correction / over correction, set it with the “ Angle Correction” from the
Factory Setting Menu ( “Cut Key” ) ( note: Value is always very close to 10/10.1, never
more than 2 or 3 decimal points.)
NOTE:
When you cut wide paper, the encoder checks the paper feeding and also controls the
offset between reading and cutting point (DCct). If you cut stripes with small width, the
encoder shall not check the offset, and it shall be made on a preset number of steps of the
stepper motor. This could cause to have two different DCct between wide and narrow
paper. To have the two values coinciding you have available in the factory setting menu
the Encoder Main/offset adj.
Please remember that with transparent paper, using the EndP&Auto/Off (under E/P
menu) the encoders are disabled and can increase the possibilities of errors.
