INSTRUCTIONS:
As coach of a soccer team, you need to distribute a roster to all your players with
contact information, uniform numbers, and assigned snack responsibilities. You
received a rough list from the league, and you would like to convert it to table form.
1. Begin your table at 2 to 2.5” from the top of the page, insert text from file from the
Soccer Team data file downloaded from eCentennial Table Assignment folder.
2. Convert Text to Table using 4 as the number of columns and separate text by
commas. Select your table and apply the proper font style (as per assignment
instructions). Use 11 pt. font for this table.
3. Insert a secondary header row with the following headings for each column and
ensure this secondary header applies proper class formatting. Make this row 0.5”
high.
Name Uniform Number Phone Numbers Snack Responsibility
4. Insert a row above for the secondary heading for a table title. Soccer Team
Roster. Press a hard enter, then type a sub-heading Snack Schedule into the
same row. Increase that row height to 0.8”, ensure it is formatted as a primary
header following class instructions.
6. Apply any list style design to the table. Remove the formatting for the first
column.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Your company has just received all of its sales volumes for 2019 and 2020. Using the
table below, calculate all the sums and stylize the table so that it’s completed
professionally.
That means you need to space all columns properly so they do not look crowded.
Ensure your heading row is bolded, upper/lower and centre aligned in the cell.
Using the table below, insert a column after the month of December, the title of this new
column should be Total.
Using table formulas, under the Totals column, add up the sums in row 2 and 3. Make
sure these sums are in the newly created column and you have applied the $ number
format to them.
Now create a formula to add up columns B through to Column N in row 4, apply 0 as the
number format.
Make row 1 = 0.5” in height, make rows 2 through 4 = 0.4” in height.
Apply any Grid Style Table and deactivate banded rows and columns, activate first
column.
Centre the table horizontally and vertically on the page.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Using the table below, you are going to begin working on this multipage table. Make
sure it runs over 2-pages but IT MUST begin on a page of its own, not on the same
page as these instructions. Apply the appropriate page break to begin.
Begin by adding a row at the top of the table and apply a header row.
Column A Heading: Company Name
Column B Heading: Hiring Authority
Column D Heading: Phone Number
Column E Heading: Representative Position
Merge row 1 columns B and C so that the Hiring Authority heading appears over both
columns.
Make all rows 0.5” high except the header row, this must be 0.8”. Ensure your header
row is capitalized, bolded, centred align per cell.
Make the table font style Arial but use 11-pt. size in the body of the table.
Apply any grid style table design you want. Make sure your Header Row, First Column
and Banded Rows are activated in table style options.
Make sure the header is appearing on both pages of the table. Centre align the table
horizontally.
INSTRUCTIONS:

PARAGRAPH TEXT INSERTED); THE SECOND FORMAT USING THE SPLIT
TABLE FUNCTIONALITY WITH PROVIDED PARAGRAPH TEXT IN BETWEEN
EACH SPLIT IN THE TABLE.
