DelWorks Detector Calibration

How to Calibrate a Thales Detector

1. To start the DelWorks Calibration go to the DelWorks Logo – System Settings

2. Select Detector Calibration from the top menu.

3. If it is a multi detector system, select the detector you would like to calibrate, if it is a single detector system it will not
matter which receptor is selected.
NOTE:
Detector needs to be setup at 72inch SID with collimation wide open covering the entire detector
and nothing in the field, with NO grid. Place detector on top of a lead apron if detector is calibrated
on the floor.

4. Then click the “Begin Calibration” button to start the calibration.

5. The “Change Dose on the Generator” message is displayed click OK. At this
time you can set your technique based on you’re the uGy requested. Please see
the attached reference techniques based on the requested dose for each of the
steps for calibration at the end of this document.
6. When you have set your technique press the continue button to start the
process.
7. When the indicator bar in the bottom right corner turns green and starts
counting down, click and hold all the way down on the hand switch until the
exposure is finished.
8. If the technique/dose is accepted for the exposure, a message will display like
the one below. Highlighted in yellow.

9. If the technique/dose is not accepted a message like the image below will
display. Based on whether the dose is higher or lower than the allowable
range you may need to adjust for a higher or lower technique. Click the OK
and adjust the technique. Click the Continue button to retry the next
exposure. Again, when the indicator bar in the button right corner turns
green and starts counting down, click and hold all the way down on the hand
switch until the exposure is terminated.
