JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Title : Accountant Job Type : Full-time


Department : Accounting Hours/Week: 48
Reports to : General Manager

Core Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable and Disbursement


a. Check vendor bills are valid and authorized transactions for payment processing.
b. Process employee cash advances and expense reimbursements.
c. Prepares attendance, timekeeping and payroll reports every cut-off.
d. Prepare 13th month and last pay computations of employees.
e. Prepare and process various government mandated payments.
f. Book all Accounts Payable and payments.
g. Write check for manual payments and coordinate the request for authorized
signatures.
h. Prepare weekly cash flow forecast, request for the semi-monthly cash funding
from Seattle office to ensure that all funding’s are credited on a timely basis and
manage the monthly funding of the secondary bank account as needed.
i. Ensure all vendor receipts are received on time.

2. General Accounting
a. Regular bookkeeping function which includes but is not limited to accruals,
amortization of prepayments and payroll entries, etc.
b. Monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation and financial statements
preparation.
c. Preparation and update of subsidiary ledgers supporting each account in the
financial statements
d. Preparation and update of accounting processes.
e. Chart of Accounts mapping and upload of transactions into accounting software
(Xero).

3. Taxation, Audit and Compliance
a. Prepare, file and pay tax returns and alphalists as required by the Bureau of
Internal Revenue including annual registration and filing of the books of accounts.
b. Oversee the annual renewal of business licenses in coordination with the Facilities
department, and manage annual submissions required by the Securities and
Exchange Commission.
c. Records management and retention of all Finance documents.

4. Other tasks as may be required.

Qualifications

 BS Accountancy graduate or equivalent experience


 Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
 Must have at least three years or more experience in Finance and/or Accounting in a
similar role.
 Good oral and verbal communication skills
 Advanced MS Excel skills and familiar with accounting software
 Ideal personality traits: Can do attitude, collaborative, with sense of urgency, and with
mature disposition
