The module discusses low self-esteem, defining confidence versus self-esteem. It provides an exercise to rate how true the statement "I'm great just as I am now" feels and a template to formulate one's own self-esteem issues. The document also discusses the cycle of change and identifying which stage of change one is currently in. Finally, it includes a log to track positive qualities shown each day.

Low Self-Esteem

Confidence vs Self-Esteem

CONFIDENCE - the trust and belief we have in ourselves and our abilities.
We have this sense that we can deal with particular challenges and some
possibly difficult situations, knowing that we have the skills to do so.

SELF-ESTEEM - our cognitive and emotional appraisal of our own worth.

Please say to yourself:

“I’m great just as I am now, with all my shortcomings and strengths. I

may make mistakes but I’m only human, and I truly believe I deserve
to be happy.”

How true does this statement FEEL (we may know it’s true on a
rational level yet not feel it deep down on an emotional level)?
On a scale of 0-100 where 0 is “not at all” and 100 is “yes, I do feel
it deep down, in my gut,” what number would you give to this
statement in terms of how true it feels to you now?

It FEELS true

Change
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting
different results."
Albert Einstein

But perhaps this is something that lies in our human nature - yet it is
something that can hold us back, so it's worth looking into and it's definitely
worth being open to try something new and hope for a different result.
