Session #1

In our first meeting, we complete a getting to know one another exercise and discuss our
personal mottos. My life's motto is "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" because we waste so
many opportunities in life. If life presents us with an opportunity, grab it. Our topic on that day is all
about the best metaphors about teachers which is:

1. A teacher is a Gardener, describe how the environment, students, and teachers all play a
part in early childhood education. The school serve as a garden, students serve as a plants,
and the teacher serve as a gardener. Students might be compared to flowers that are
organically blossoming and blooming into something lovely. Thus, effective educators were
likened to gardeners who tenderly tended to the needs of the students. Children should be
fed and cared for by teachers, who should make sure the garden is the ideal place for their
growth.
2. A teacher is a Coach, Tough love comes to mind when we think about instructors. The
instructor challenges us to go beyond our comfort zones and has high expectations. "Just a
little more," the coach instructs us while we are in pain.
3. A teacher is a Mountaineer’s Guide, Mountaineering is more dangerous than teaching.
People frequently encounter severe conditions like rocky terrain and inclement weather,
which can result in disaster for the entire team when one person makes a mistake. The
mountaineer guide only teaches the team members how to use their physical talents for
climbing, but the instructor also imparts additional cerebral skills to the students.

The second topic includes vocabulary related to Facilitate, Learning, and Facilitate Learning. We also
discuss the Teacher’s role in facilitated learning and facilitated learning takes place. Lastly, we tackled
also the Learner centered and teacher centered. In summary on my understanding about what is
facilitate learning is the place where teachers urge students to take greater charge of their education. As
a facilitator and organizer who offers resources and help to learners, the trainer's job changes. In the end
of our session, we divide the class by group to do the group activity #1 and present it in next meeting.
Session #2

In our second session, We will discuss our outputs and the topic that was assigned to us is what
are the strengths of teacher-centered approach and learning. So in every groups presentation it gives me
more idea and knowledge about the differences of student-centered approach and learning and the
teacher-centered approach and learning. student-centered approach and learning, is a style of
instruction that places an emphasis on connecting what students learn in school with their interests. The
ultimate objective is to give pupils a greater sense of purpose in the educational process. Teacher-
centered approach and learning, the teacher performs the well-known duty of the lecturer in the
classroom, imparting knowledge to the pupils who are supposed to take it in a passive manner.

Finally, we take our first exam on terminology related to facilitated learning and metaphors
related to teachers. I feel very proud of myself since I received a score of 15 out of 15. This is the
outcome of my diligent study before the quiz and hard effort.

Session #3

In our third session, we discuss the 10 principles of competency-based curriculum and the
competency-based training (CBT). I’ve learned the importance of CBT which is It encourages staff growth
and development, which boosts work satisfaction and retention and It improves the standard of work
and boosts productivity, which benefits the firm and its clients. The 10 principles of competency based
curriculum helps me to more understand the importance of it. One is to demonstrate that they are an
expert in every facet of their industry. This indicates that they have a deep understanding of every
subject they have studied. They are also qualified for employment.

Futhermore, Competency-based learning is used in schools to improve academic requirements,

make sure that more students fulfill these higher criteria, and graduate more students who are more
ready for adult life. Second topic is the Learner-centere principles, which is the design of the learning
assignment is driven by the interests, needs, sentiments, situations, and mindsets of the learners. We
have also 6 learner-centered Principles. 1. Learner-led, 2. Learner choice, 3. Learner Relevant, 4. Learner
Socially-culturally connected, 5. Learner self-expression, and 6. Learner creativity. Thos principles are
helps students acquire abilities that are relevant to the demands of the modern workforce, such as
teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Lastly, we discuss the 8 adult learning principles which is the1. Adults have a higher sense of self-
direction and motivation and 2. Adults use their life experience to facilitate learning. We are not able to
finished the 8 adult learning principles because we have not enough time but we already got a lot of
knowledge to gain.
Session # 4

For our fourth session we continue the topic about the 8 adult-learning principles. So my
learning about that topic is about the importance of it as they offer direction and solutions for successful
teaching and learning experiences for adult learners, adult learning principles are of utmost relevance.
The significance of intrinsic motivation is emphasized by adult learning concepts. Adult learners are more
motivated to study when they can connect the material to their own objectives and life experiences.
Education professionals may design more interesting and fulfilling learning experiences by
comprehending and utilizing students' motivations.

In conclusion, designing effective learning experiences for adult learners requires an awareness
of and use of adult learning concepts. Educators may create and deliver teaching that encourages
engagement, meaningful learning, and the successful completion of learning objectives by taking into
account students' motivations, prior knowledge, relevance, autonomy, and desire for active learning and
practical application.

We gave instructions for an activity involving role-playing as part of that day's activities to help
us better comprehend the eight adults principles. Two groups perform that day, with the other groups
performing at the following meeting, when we have had 15 minutes to prepare and think about the
concept

Session #5

This session we are going to continue the group activity which is the role playing. In our group
we assigned the #8 adult learning principles which is we have a 2 tarpapel for our background in our role
play. We have 2 setup the industry setup and classroom setup. This principles “adults want to choose
how they learn”they are more likely to be completely engaged with the material if they have control
over how and when they study it as opposed to merely going through the motions. This may be achieved
by giving learners access to learning resources that they can use at their own discretion or by letting
them select their own learning route inside an online training environment.

In additionally, role playing gives us and real-world scenarios to help us students learn. Learn
skills used in real-world situations. It helps us also to understand more the topic about the 8 principles.
So every group have a unique presentations and I realize that we are so creative in expressing ourselves
and to present our outputs.
