PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. TITLE: Procurement of shelves for selected grade level (Pilot Implementer of


MATATAG Curriculum)

II. RATIONALE:

The Department of Education’s mandate is geared towards the improvement


and rehabilitation of school facilities to aid in providing safe and conducive
environment for learning, however Dampalit IS was challenged vastly by natural
disaster and since it was built for several years now that caused damages to the
school that have honed learners of the community of Dampalit. The school proposes
for rehabilitation and repair of the damaged facilities. This venture etails a vigorous
effort in providing the learners and stkeholders the best service through the sound
facilities of the school. Repair of the said school facilities are necessary to lessen
further damage and rehabilitate the conducive environment for the learners and
school stakeholders leading to safe and sound environment

Repair of roofing, rehabilitation of comfort rooms and re installation of electrical


wirings

Based on Deped’s adaptation of “Repair All” Policy where school buildings and
other facilities are repaired and rehabil
The condition of the school directly impacts the performance of the learners.
Also, it tends to improve the attendance and interest of learners and teachers in
learning. For this same reason, investments in school infrastructure have an
essential role in solving learner’s access problem to the school system and
improving their performance. It is a fact that having a classroom in good condition is
decisive for learners to achieve the expected academic results.

With this, Dampalit Integrated school planned to repair the 2 classroom because
of poor ventilation and not well-lighted.

The school have a legal duty of care to ensure the health and safety of teachers
and learners. It must provide a classroom conducive to learning so that the academic
performance of the learners will not be affected. It must be a child-friendly

classroom that promotes the well-being of an individual where it considered the
safety as top priority inside the school premises.

One of the major concerns of Deped is to helo provide public schools with
educational facilities in order to facilitate and enhance learning through a
stimulating and comforting environment.

It has been observed, however that due to inadequate maintenance during


pandemic, the school facilities deteriorate rapidly resulting in poor physical
conditions of the school. The cost of repair of damaged facilities and acquisition of
new one has increased.

To minimize wastage due to poor maintenance, to prolong the serviceability of


these facilities, and to ensure a conducive learning environment for school children,
it is desired that all school maintenance team headed by school administrtair

Replace deteriorated Window panels, broken jalousie blades and paint window.

Provide immediate replacement of broken parts like doorknobs, locks and


hinges

Paint door shutter to preserve and strengthen surface appearance

Inspect wooden components of the buildings for the presence of termites and
wood-boring insects. Replaced deteriorated ones and treat less damaged parts with
chemicals like solignun,

III. OBJECTIVE:

A. Terminal Objective:
To effectively support the pilot implementation of MATATAG curriculum
and contribute to the diverse representation of public schools in the
Philippines.

To provide better/conducive education facilities/classrooms to learners


To improve the quality of education
To increase achievement level of the learners and teachers.
B. Enabling Objectives:

To procure shelves intended for storing and organizing the


learning materials needed in the implementation of MATATAG
Curriculum
