Course Objective
Advanced pavement technology includes design & construction concepts of pavement recycling, warm bituminous mix,
cement grouted bituminous mix, white topping practices, functional treatment to improve the riding quality of pavement,
plastic aided bituminous mix.

Course Outcome
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. understand the concept of pavement recycling. ( BL-2 )

2. discuss about the warm mix asphalt & cement grouted bituminous macadam. ( BL-2 )

3. describe white topping & stone matrix asphalt. ( BL-2 )

4. explain recent trends in bituminous pavements. ( BL-2 )

5. recognize the use of aggregate other than natural resources. ( BL-2 )
