First of all, I would like to say Alhamdullah because from Allah blessing, so now I can stand here to

deliver my short speech and follow this competition. Also, slawat and salam to our beloved prophet
Muhammad SAW, who has brought us from the darkness till we can feel the day that full witj education, like
today.

Friends, along with the development of the times, lately we have seen a fading spirit to preserve
regional culture. This is a result of globalization and the rapid development of the internet. This greatly
affects various aspects of life, including its influence on the culture of a region.

Nowadays we can access information easily and quickly, including information about culture. Foreign
cultures that enter the country and technological capabilities make regional cultures shift.

Talking about the diversity of Indonesian culture, in this sophisticated digital era, all young people are
not allowed to close their eyes. This opportunity is a golden opportunity that can be utilized to be able to
introduce and further preserve the culture that is said to have begun to die out.

The digital era is a time when information can be disseminated easily and quickly using digital
technology connected to internet channels. The digital era that is happening now is a form of adaptation to a
new normal era. Towards a world that is all sophisticated but traditional art which is the identity of the
Indonesian nation must not die.

Then how do we use the digital media? Especially about regional cultures.

First. We can use platforms on social media such as Googl, Tik Tok, Twitter, Instagram, and
YouTube as well as certain other websites. Suppose we use social media to share information about culture
such as making vlogs that contain culture around us. With this, we indirectly introduce our culture not only
locally but also globally.

Now the younger generation has also been very creative in operating various applications such as
canva, capcut and piktochart which are for editing various photos and even videos to be more interesting,
which are used in promoting culture, so that everyone can be more interested in knowing more about culture
in Indonesia.

Second. We can get to know the culture of various regions through social media. Without having to
visit the place directly. We can even see the beauty of nature, in order to get to know the culture even further.
Another media that we can use is television. Many television programs introduce cultures in Indonesia. Such
as Si Bolang, Si Unyil (old version), and also My Trip My Adventure. You can try to watch it all, if you
really curious.

Third, the thing that is closest to us now, which is by holding various competitions with cultural
themes, both from regional stories, traditional clothing, regional songs, and even regional languages. In
addition, with us here, I'm sure we come from different regions, of course different languages. I want to ask,
are there Minang tribes? Batak? Javanese? or Sundanese?
