AUXILIARY VIEW
Auxiliary View
When an object has a slanted or inclined surface, it usually is not
possible to show the inclined surface in an orthographic drawing
without distortion.
To present a more accurate description of any inclined surface, an
additional view, known as an auxiliary view, is usually required
Concepts of Auxiliary View
So that the true size and shape of the surface/s are seen as they
actually are.
OBJECT A
Draw reference plane X1 and Y1 parallel to the inclined/slanted
surface
OBJECT A
Draw construction line perpendicular to the inclined surface at every
edges and identify reference plane

Transfer the distance/depth from top view. Darken object lines and

Exercise 2
Project each point to the auxiliary view along its projection line. In the case, the
direction of sight is perpendicular to the edge view of the inclined surface.
