Download and install Microsoft Power BI desktop app from Microsoft Store.

Practice Assignment Solution


You can follow the given below steps to download and install Power BI Desktop app on your
computer. The goal of the given steps are merely to provide you with hints to work with the dataset.
You can use these hints to work towards the intended solution.

Step 1. Open a Browser and search for “Power BI Desktop Installation” in a search engine.
You may see a download link from Microsoft in the results page. Click the link to
open the website.
Step 2. You may see a download link under the Microsoft Power BI Desktop section. Upon
clicking the link, you may be asked to open the link in Microsoft Store. Click the Open
Microsoft Store button.
Step 3. Once the Microsoft Store page opens, click the Get button. It will download and
install the application on your computer.
Step 4. The Get button will be replaced with the Open button. It means the application is
installed. Click Open to open the application.
Step 5. Once the Power BI application opens, a dialog box is displayed on the screen with
introductory information related to Power BI Desktop.
Step 6. Click the Get started button. It will display a sign-in prompt.
Step 7. Please enter an email address. You can only use a work or school email address to
sign in. Power BI does not allow you to open accounts using consumer email
addresses such as outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com, and others.
Step 8. Click the Continue button after entering the email address. If a Microsoft account
with that email address exists, a prompt asks you to choose your account. However,
if a school or work Microsoft account does not exist with that email address, you will
see a link to sign up for an account.
Step 9. Once you select your account, you will see your name in the top-right corner of the
screen. This completes the installation of Power BI Desktop.
