Basic Functions of the Windows

The key five basic functions of any window are as following:

1. User Interface

The user interface of Windows OS is designed to provide ease of use and accessibility to users. The Start
Menu, Taskbar, and Desktop are some of the key elements of the Windows OS interface. Users can
customize the interface by changing the theme, background, and other elements to suit their
preferences.

2. File Management

Windows OS provides a robust file management system that allows users to manage files and folders
easily. The File Explorer is the primary tool used for file management in Windows OS. Users can create,
delete, move, and rename files and folders with ease.

3. System Security

Windows OS has built-in security features that help protect the system from malware and other security
threats. Windows Defender is the default antivirus software that comes with Windows OS. It provides
real-time protection against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.

4. System Maintenance

Windows OS includes several tools for system maintenance and optimization. The Disk Cleanup utility
helps users free up disk space by removing unnecessary files and programs. The Disk Defragmenter tool
is used to optimize the performance of the hard drive.
