Getting Started
Create an Odoo Database

In this video, learn how to create an Odoo database.

1-Within how many hours does an Odoo database need to be activated to ensure the full 15 day
trial?
Four hours.
Five hours.
Zero hours, the database is automatically activated when you set it up.
Three hours.

2-What happens when a user is created in an Odoo database?


A password is automatically created and sent to the user’s email address.
An email is sent with a link to create a secure password to the Odoo database.
No email is sent, the password appears on the screen.
You can’t create users from the main dashboard.

3-What needs to be activated in order to see the “Load Demo Data” option?
Developer Mode.
Nothing, demo data can be loaded without any special options turned on.
Concierge Mode.
Admin Mode.

4-Which is true about installing new applications on the Odoo database?


Only your account manager can install new applications.
Any user in the database can install applications.
Go to the Settings app and install applications from the list of applications.
As an administrator, go to the Apps module and click install on the application that
needs to be installed.

1. How do you change the language for the user?


Users > Languages tab.
Languages App.
Name in upper Right > My Profile (Preferences) > Preferences tab.

Odoo doesn’t offer two factor authentication.

Exporting and Importing Data


In this video, learn how to import or export contacts.

1. How do you specify what records in Odoo you want to export?


Specify what to export by checking the box on the left of the record line while in
List mode.
There is no need to specify, all records will automatically download as long as
they are present on the page.
Highlight the lines you want to export.
Action > Specify Contacts > Export.

2. What is the setting to make the data you’re exporting/importing compatible with
Odoo?
All data, no matter where it is exported, is import-compatible.
Check the box labeled: “I want to update data (import-compatible export)” when
exporting.
Download the template from the import data window and use the headings
supplied.

3. Where can you find the “Import Records” option in Odoo?


Select contacts in list view > Action > Import records.
Favorites > Import records.
