Course Outline This course aims to acquire "DP4: Sound reasoning and scientific-communication skills" and "DP5: Planning sk
ills in problem-solving".
In this subject, in the first part, wewill address the environmental issues in the building field and then lecture o
nthe basics of building equipment, and thermal and water environments. Secondly, students will learn about e
nvironmental problemsrelated to noise and vibration emitted from automobiles, railways, andaircraft. In the th
ird part of this course, students will learn about water, air, and thermal pollutants from heavy industry.

Objectives The goal of this course is that students acquire "DP4: Sound reasoning and scientific-communication skills", "
DP5: Planning skills in problem-solving".
At the end of this course, students will be able to: 1) Comprehend the knowledge of environmental issues in t
he field of the building field. 2) Understand the mechanism of noise and vibration emitted from the vehicles a
nd countermeasures. 3) Understand the impact and control of pollutants from heavy industry.

before/after As preparation, glance over the course materials distributed in advance. Review and apply the content that wi
course of study ll be covered during homework. Understanding the content of the previous class is essential. Working hours a
