CHILDHOOD AND YOUTH
Lana Del Rey's real name is Elizabeth
Woolridge Grant. She was born on the border
of two zodiac signs, Gemini and Cancer, on June
21, 1985 in New York. Her father is engaged in
domain investment. He willingly invests the
millions he earns in his daughter's musical
career. The singer's mother taught at a
secondary school. Two more children were
brought up in the family — the youngest
daughter Caroline and son Charlie.
Even as a child, Elizabeth showed an interest in music. She liked to sing in the school choir. The girl
almost did not communicate with other children, but she enjoyed spending time at home watching old

Lizzie Grant entered the State University of New York, but she did not forget about her hobbies. She
performed jazz compositions in bars. For the sake of music, the girl abandoned her studies, but later
became a student of the Faculty of Philosophy at Fordham University.

The stage name of the star was invented by her managers. There was a rumor that the creation of
the authors' pseudonym was inspired by actress Lana Turner and the Chevrolet Delray car, but Del
Rey denies this.
Not everyone knows that Lana Del Rey started a creative
biography under her real name. The first international
performance of the artist was the opening act of a rock band from
Sweden at the concert of the TV show MTV Unplugged. Lizzie
Grant's Kill Kill record did not gain popularity.

MUSIC
In a short time, the young singer has become incredibly popular.
For her first concert in New York, tickets were sold out within 30
minutes of the opening of sales. Some time later, Stranger Records
released the single Video Games / Blue Jeans on vinyl. In the UK, it
entered the top ten best-selling, and in the Netherlands it took third
place.

Releasing the fourth disc, Lana did not change her style,
considering herself a "self-proclaimed gangster version of Nancy
Sinatra", and kept this brand. Her music and videos were filled with
references to the 50s and 60s and various pop cultures of that
time. At the end of 2015, Del Rey gave an interview about the future
of the disc. The singer said that the previous albums sounded
"Californian", but plans to release a new release in "New York style".

The celebrity continued to work and delight fans with new songs,
promising to release a new album called Chemtrails Over the
Country Club on September 4, 2020. However, the release took
place later, already in 2021. In the same year , the singer presented
another record — Blue Banisters
Lana's works turned out to be closely
connected with the world of cinema. It
should be noted, of course, that the clips of
the artist herself turned out to be, in fact,
mini-films.

In the spring of 2013, the singer presented


the song Young and Beautiful, which she
FILMS recorded specifically for Baz Luhrmann's
film The Great Gatsby.

Leto — in the video, the artists played a
couple in love. In September, the singer
participated in an unusual collaboration,
recording together with Miley Cyrus the
lead single soundtrack to the movie
"Charlie's Angels".

Lawrence and her Christian Dior outfit fell under her hot handIn
Russia, the creativity of the American performer is very much loved. So, in
the fourth season of the show "The Voice", her song Young and Beautiful
was performed by Elena Romanova.
The artist loves football. In an interview, she admitted that she is a fan of
the English football club Liverpool.
