KUKA Control System Windows 95

Creating the hardware connection between a PC and KUKA Control PC
To create the connection a Ethernet Crossover cable is required. At Kuka Control Systems in Windows 95 the Ethernet cable
has to be connected before starting up the system. At plugging after start the KUKA Control PC has to be re-booted.
Checking the TCP/IP address of the KUKA Control PC
Step 1: Select KUKA BOF (KUKA User Interface)

Select the symbol „Service“ in upper menu bar and select the
menu item “BOF“ to change to the KUKA BOF.

Step 2: User log on as KUKA „Expert“

Select the button „Configure“ in the upper menu bar and select
the menu item „User group“ to open the dialog user log on.

Select the button „Expert“ in the lower menu bar. The dialog to
enter the password opens.

Configure the TCP/IP Address at the SoftPLC Projects

This manual is valid for the configuration of the TCP/IP Address at Multiprog Projects (SoftPLC) at KUKA Control Systems
with Windows 95 or Windows XP.
Step 1: Open the “Resource settings”

To open the dialog „Resource settings“ mark the item „KRC:

KUKA“ at „Physical hardware VxWin: IPC_30 (Windows 95) or
IPC_33“ (Windows XP) with the right mouse button and select
the menu item “Settings”. The dialog “Resource settings” opens.

In the window „Port“ select the item „DLL“, at selection window

„DLL:“ select the item „TCP/IP“ and at the input window
„Parameter:“ enter the TCP/IP address of the KUKA Control
System. To accept the changes press the OK button.

To check the connection, press the symbol „Project Control

Dialog“ in the upper menu bar. Is the connection working
properly, the status messages of the SoftPLC opens. If the
connection is not working properly the status message “Time-
out” opens. In this case check the TCP/IP Configuration of the PC
/ Notebook, check the wiring between PC / Notebook and KUKA
Control PC or check the TCP/IP address to the KUKA Control PC.

For connection to the SoftPLC it is not necessary the re-build the

SoftPLC project.
