Abstract
ARSENIO, MELODY M., BUGTONG, SHANA D., GABOL, SARA JOY M.,
MATIAS, RASEL P. Information and communication of technologies (ICT), Tiblac
National High School (TNHS). Tiblac, Ambaguio Nueva Vizcaya, zip code 3701, in
the school year 2022-2023. “The Knowledge Level in Using the Microsoft Office
Among Grade 12 Students at Tiblac National High School”
The study dealt with the knowledge level of using Microsoft Office among
Grade 12 Students at Tiblac National High School. This aimed to determine the
knowledge level of Microsoft Office among grade 12 students.
There are forty-five (45) respondents, both male and female, from the
academic tracks of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), Shielded Metal Arc
Welding Strand (SMAW), and Accountancy and Business Management (ABM).
In this study, the researchers use a descriptive design for this research. This
design was chosen based on the purpose of the researchers which is to describe the
knowledge level of using Microsoft Office among Grade 12 students. In this study
design, surveys are used as a tool by researchers to obtain a piece of information to
gain a greater understanding among Grade 12 students as a respondent.
v
In terms of Microsoft Office proficiency, three specific levels have been
elaborate namely, Beginner, Intermediate, and advanced. “Basic level of skills is
sufficient to perform using Microsoft Office processing tasks such as producing
routine letters, memorandums, and informal reports. A person with this level of skills
can use Microsoft Office. In intermediate-level skills, it encloses the usage and
creation of a variety of templates, complex tables, and merges: manage table data, sort
and filter merges and also perform basic work with existing macros. The advanced
level of skills required to produce very large, complex formal documents that require a
table of contents, footnotes, endnotes, bookmarks, and other special elements. A
person with this level of skills can use and create a wide range of graphic effects and
has full mastery of macro commands (Computer Skills: Level of Proficiency, 2011,
p.3)
Based on the findings of this study the researcher found that the Grade 12
students are moderately aware of using Microsoft Office. Among the 45 respondents,
results showed that 30 students have beginners’ skills in using Microsoft Office and 15
students only have intermediate and advanced skills when it comes to using the most
basic Microsoft Office.

researchers who give their utmost support, and never-ending
inspiration throughout the study. They are the ones who provide
the resources that are needed in the making of this study. It is
also dedicated to the teachers who are behind in making this
research possible by guiding the researcher to complete this
study. The researchers would also like to dedicate this study to
students who may need help battling their mental health issues.
Also, this study is dedicated to the school, allowing the
researchers to nurture and test their skills and cooperation to
build this study. We look up and dedicated this whole study to
our Almighty God who gave us the strength, knowledge,
v
wisdom, protection, and will to continue and keep positive to
finish this research.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The researchers would like to extend gratitude and heartfelt
obligation toward all the personages who have helped in this study.
Without their active guidance, utmost help, cooperation, and
encouragement, the researchers wouldn’t come this far.
The researchers would like to express their extreme gratitude to the
research adviser Ma’am Cristine P. Solomon for sharing her knowledge,
guidance, and support for the completion of this study. She taught the
researchers very well about all these chapters, on how to make them
properly. And how to execute this study, guiding the researchers until to
finish the research.
We, the researchers would also like to express our sincere
appreciation and thank the following teachers: Ma’am Marlyn D.
v
Camacho and Ma’am Danna Mae A. Barte, the researchers appreciate
your extensive help to get the survey done, without them, it will be
impossible to researchers to reach the grade 12 students.
To the classmates, respondents, friends, and other people that have
helped and supported the researchers when they needed advice,
recommendations, and second opinions. The researchers would like to
thank our parents who supported and helped the researchers in making
this study. To God Be All the Glory.
