1. ABOUT THE COURSE:

a) Brief Description:

In today’s dynamic business landscape, the ability to drive corporate strategy and business decisions
through data-driven insights leads to market leadership and gives organizations a competitive edge.
Organizations are seeking to gain revenue-generating insights from data and build future strategies for
business growth.

Data Science is the area of study which involves extracting insights from vast amounts of data by the use
of various scientific methods, algorithms, and processes. It helps you to discover hidden patterns from
the raw data.

Data Science is an interdisciplinary field that allows you to extract knowledge from structured or
unstructured data. This technology enables you to translate a business problem into a research project
and then translate it back into a practical solution.

This course will provide insights on data management, exploratory data analysis, and the use of machine
learning algorithms. Along with a strategic and managerial understanding, this course will help
participants enhance their proficiency in data science and gain in-depth skills and robust knowledge of
Data Science tools and techniques supported by a no code Data Science platform – RapidMiner & JMP.

This course is designed for participants who plan to work in any industry/sector/functional area—from
financial services and manufacturing to technology companies—that uses data for decision-making.

This course will cover practical applications of DS /ML techniques using JMP & RapidMiner from the
functional areas of General Management, Marketing, Finance, Operations / Supply Chains.

b) Teaching Learning Method:

.
The pedagogy for this course will be a mix of lectures, class discussion, hands-on problem solving using
RapidMiner & JMP.
