MATH 233 Syllabus-Revised

This document provides a course syllabus for a Probability and Statistics course offered at Jordan University of Science and Technology during the first semester of 2023/2024. The 3-credit, daytime course covers descriptive statistics, probability distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation, and simple regression. Topics will be presented over 15 weeks and evaluated through exams, assignments, and a final exam weighted at 30%, 30%, and 30% respectively. The course aims to help students understand and apply probability, statistics, and random phenomena in computer science contexts.
