Simple past tense adalah kalimat tenses yang digunakan untuk
menyatakan kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau dan telah berakhir di
masa lampau. Berbeda dengan past continous tense, yakni menyatakan
kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau, namun masih terjadi di masa
sekarang
