The document outlines a lesson plan for teaching subtraction of two-digit numbers to Grade 2 pupils. The objectives are for pupils to subtract two-digit numbers, identify the three parts of subtraction, and solve word problems involving money and real-life situations. The lesson plan includes preliminary activities, motivation through a song, representing the concept using story problems, reasoning and proof through additional story problems, problem-solving exercises, communication of learning, and assignment of additional practice problems.  What can you say about Santa Clause?
 Now class Santa has a problem, he wants to find out how many gifts left?
 Do you want to help Santa?
 What is the problem of Santa Claus?
 Based on the problem, what is the given?
 What do you think is the answer of Santa Claus problem?
 What is the operation used?
 What is subtraction?
 What symbol we will use in subtraction?

Reasoning and Proof (10 minutes)

 In solving a world problem involving subtraction, use subtraction as the
mathematical operation.
 I will translate the questions to mother tongue, to gather active participation to the
pupils.
“Jade and Jordan decided to harvest apple in the farm to sell it in the market. They
brought with them one big basket for their harvested apple. After three hours, they
got tired and stopped harvesting. They counted the apples that they got. Jade and
Jordan harvested 99 apples. They immediately went home. However, their brothers
and sisters asked for some apple’s. So, they gave them 55 apples in all. Jade and
Jordan gave 55 apples to their brothers and sisters. After counting, Jade and Joshua
got tired. They need some help to find out how many apples were left.”
 Can we help them?
 How many apples did Jade and Jordan had harvested?
 How many were given to their brothers and sisters?
 How many were left?
 How did you get the answer of how many apples left harvested by Jade and
Jordan?
 What symbol we will use in subtraction?
Problem–Solving (10 minutes)
 In an individual activity, the pupils will solve the problem in the block
board.

Problem Solution

-28
2.) 6 2
- 31
3.) 98
- 77
4.) 33

 In a group activity, the pupils will solve the problem and I will give them 3
minutes to solve, then remaining 4 minutes will be for checking time.

Communication (6 minutes)
From the given problem above, I will call few pupils to give a reflection on what they
have learned on this topic.

I have learned……
Connection (6 minutes)
Direction:
Identity the underlined digit if it is Minuend write M, if it is Subtrahend write S and also if
it is Difference write D.
1. John has 47 apples, and he gives away 29 of them. So, therefore John has 18
apples left.
2. Jennifer has eighteen grapes, and she gave twelve grapes to Mike. Therefore
Jennifer has six grapes left.

seller has 43 bananas left.

IV. Assignment
Direction:
In 1 whole sheet of paper that will pass on next meeting answer the following with
solution and identity the Minuend, Subtrahend And Difference.
a. Princess has 35 orange and she gives 28 orange to her classmates. How
much orange Princess left?
b. Joy has 58 grapes . She share it and gave 58 to the church. How much
were the grapes are left of Joy?

Comments
To your lesson plan ,is clear and organize start from objective to the assessment is
shows very interesting and clean. Keep up the good work.
Fahmiah P. Baguan

The good content is accurate and persuasive. The major points are stated, and the
responses are adequate and address assignment and also the content and purpose of
the writing are clear. Also the structure is mostly clear and easy to follow, but the
paragraph transitions need improvement.

Lyca Mae B. Balinas
