CASE MANAGER AND HOME STUDY WRITER
Managed and provided support to foster/adopt families through case management services, crisis
management, home visits, documentation and ongoing training and advocacy. Assisted and monitored
families to certify compliance of licensing/regulatory standards. Assessed the children’s abilities and learning
styles in order to design appropriate treatment plans. Monitored progress to promote goal attainment.
Certified and licensed families for kinship (relative), foster and adoptive placements. Interviewed families to
evaluate their ability to care for a child that has been abused or neglected. Information contained during the
interview process included personal childhood background, relationship history, health and financial data as
well as the applicant’s parenting style. Based on the review of the family’s background, a recommendation
was made regarding their ability to care for a child that suffered trauma.

Walk alongside children in the care of CPS. Advocate for their needs and best interests by facilitating and
coordinating with teachers, parents, attorneys, foster families, therapists, and CPS to ensure the children have
a path to flourish while in the state's care. Research and secure resources for foster children and their families.
Prepare court reports and testify regarding the children’s best interests and the family’s progress. Review
home studies and made recommendations in court regarding permanency options.

Led volunteers who walked alongside children and caretakers in the foster care system by offering consistent
support through intentional giving, relationship building and mentorship. Provided assistance and
