Lab 3 Code Assignment

For this lab you will be accessing the CSA B355 code. The questions are based on the 2015
dated copy. There is one copy for reserve in the library and I will try to have a second also
available in the library. The questions below ask for specific information that you need to get
from the code and then put into a document that presents it in a concise and precise manner. A
PDF will be the only accepted file type to submit.

1) Definitions
a. Carriage
b. Continuous Pressure operation
c. Levelling device, anti-creep
d. Runway
e. Sensitive edge

2) Measurement specific requirements


a. Vertical clearance to access lift
b. Travel limit for a unenclosed lift
c. Travel limit for an enclosed lift
d. Maximum inclination of stair lift in non-residential setting
e. Illumination level
f. Clearance between platform and wall of building for an enclosed vertical lift
