1.1 ∆ABC has co-ordinates A (–2 ; –2 ), B (1 ; 3) and C (6 ; 0).

1.1.1 Determine the length of:

(a) AB (3)
(b) BC (2)
(c) AC (2)

1.1.2 Show that ∆ABC is a right-angled triangle. (3)

1.1.3 If E is the midpoint of AB and D is the midpoint of AC, show that

1.2 The line segment joining the points A (x ; y) and B (3 ; - 5) is perpendicular to CD,

The picture below shows an open cardboard box having length, 96 cm, width, 48 cm and
height, 20 cm. The box contains 18 cans of jam. The height of the jam can is 20 cm.
